Need articles please? Re 1975, and system ending.....

hey all,.

i need help finding articles please!.

discussions have arisen where a bro has firmly stated that "the society has never stated 1975" , and that "we" never said the system would be over in a specific time.. i know there was also the article re education in 1968 ish?.

I am also keen to find the info showing how the cd rom of an older article had the wording changed compared to the original actual article. I remember that the original said "the system will end before the end of the 20th century". The cd rom version said "the system will end in a short time" or words changed like that?

So it's manipulating the history and pretending "we never said it"

BUT how can it possibly define the WT org?

I mean, just because they say it means them doesnt make it true! And it certainly doesnt give them the power they make it out to be... It simply speaks of a christian being blessed by Jesus for taking care of fellow christians...

How can they have based a whole religion and its power on this single verse?

i went to a small non-denominational church yesterday - first time in a church since i left the borg 4 years ago - and this is how i observed several of the members singing.. .

boy... do those people love to sing.. .

i try not to judge the sincerity of others but i was a little put off by the experience because it looked fake, showy display-ish.

Singing is one the most natural ways to "see into someones personality"...to see how they feel.

By that standard, most witnesses dont really "feel" the "truth", they are just going along with the motions...

Their hearts are not really into it....

If anyone just looks around the organization today at the majority of "new" ones coming in, there is a general pattern of characters.

Most coming in are those who have had a simple life, a life with problems or issues, have a personality that leaves them on the edge of society, sort of misfits... Not "happy, well adjusted people"

Its not the accomplished, well rounded out people with a good family and business mind, or stable employment and housing.

Its those who have baggage and emotional issues...

The "leaders" in the congs and org are generally the charasmatic, "born ins" that have risen up the ladder to be appointed men....
