within the last few hours, two separate posters, watchtower87 and pixel, independently posted news of a april 22nd, 2014 letter to the boe regarding a change in how elders are to be appointed and deleted:.

boe - pdf - confidential 2014-04-22 adjustment in process for appointing elders and minisletter to boe: adjustment in process for appointing elders and ministerial servantswhat i found very interesting is the letterhead and the signature.

they are both from "the governing body of jehovah's witnesses" and not from "the christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses.".

I just dont understand it.

The co would only consider appointing or deleting someone based on the recomendations of the body of elders anyway?

Then the branch would be asked, just to make sure that they dont have a file with "confidential past sins / records" of that bro on file...

Something you said rang true for me....

Since I "chilled out" after learning TTATT, I have been less stressed over pleasing everyone else and eye service. Hence I have treated my wife far more respectfully and have expected less from her with theocratic activities.

We hardly ever have a disagreement over things, we treat other with more respect.

So to those who say that only witnesses have a happy family life, I say bs.

i was curious what might be some good things to say if i am questioned by the elduurs about my decline in fs.

anything too honest may get me a jc (although that would be for the best in the end..) the co visit is this week so they may be getting more agressive than usual.

Sadly this sort of conduct just makes the "faithful" more determined.

It doesn't show dignity, and helps them confirm their thoughts that "apostates" are "mentally diseased"

There are wiser, more dignified ways to make a stand.

Feeling very frustrated.

i thought i could go back to the hall to be in and to point out things to wake up my children but i can't seem to go to much bs and going seems as though i'm telling my kids i agree, yet at the same time i feel helpless.

wife is completely in and she goes to a very good hall as friendlyness goes.

most my kids still not teenager's but feel as if i'm going to loose them to this cult.
