discussions with householders
by kj ini'm expecting a return visit from 2 nice jw ladies and i'm going to try counterwitnessing to them.
i've been warned about possibly wasting my time, which i know is a possibility.
i'm not afraid of them sucking me in- i know way too much now.

Return visits
by kj intwo nice jw ladies stopped by my house last week and gave me some magazines.
one of them asked if i would mind if she returned to discuss the magazines and answer any questions i might have.
i think i'd like to attempt some counter-witnessing.

How serious did you take stuff like this?
by kj inthis is a quote from kingdom ministry, 6/89.
wholesome association.
5 one cannot walk with god while running in association with those of the wicked and sick society that approves of everything that god abhors.

by kj ini read this quote in a wt publication, but now i can't find it.
it basically said that in order to be a jw you must agree with all of what the society teaches.
you cannot disagree with any of it.

someone told me this was his understanding, but i think he's been given some incorrect information.

sorry enough?
by kj inthere's something i've always wondered about- how do the elders decide when a disfellowshipped person is "sorry enough" for their sin to be reinstated?
for instance, if someone is immediately repentant for something they've done, even turning themselves in, and they still get disfellowshipped for a set period of time.
how is this scriptural?

New here, got a question
by kj ini just wanted to let you know how much i have enjoyed reading your posts.
i am not and have never been a jw, but my husband and i both have a lot of family who are.
my mother was sucked into it in 1999. i have a question, is it true that jws are forbidden to set foot in any church other than the kingdom hall?
