september 11, 2001. riding the bus to school that tuesday morning we discussed the implications of the monday night football game between the broncos and the dolphins.

by lunchtime our entire world have changed dramatically.

america had passed into a new era that would lead to major changes.

This is a really interesting discussion. A lot of great points were made. I believe the next five years are going to be very interesting to watch the Borg. I have a feeling that this new breed of GB has become power hungry. They love the attention they are receiving. They are definitely not afraid of making bold moves. Perhaps they will overplay there hand in some aspect And this May drive more away.

Many jdubs are my parents age. Early sixties. They already stuck thru 75. For them to throw in the towel now would be about the equivalent to saying that there entire life was a waste. For the generation after them though...just maybe they will leave in masses at some point.

Suavojr... Take your time. Don't make any rash decisions. I am still in the Borg. I will leave but I'm not sure when. Make sure that you are ready for the repercussions.

I would say that jdubs are a dangerous cult. But I am somewhat torn about this. I know a young deaf man who became a jdub. His life is way better now than it was before. He has a whole new life with good friends that speak his language.

But others are sexually molested, shunned by there family, abused by there husbands etc...

then why is there not 100yrs of detailed, accurate records?.

Heythere, Good call. I thought about that and that is true for me as well. I am in my 30s and all witnesses my age that I know have been born in. at least in English. I know of one in a foreign language. I think almost all growth is born ins, foreign language, or third world countries.

so i am sitting here at the meeting during the "book study".... the study is all about gods protective power!.

oh, yes, protective power....for righteous servants of his.....but what about all those who are trying to be good witnesses, serving the gb, who are not protected from harm?

Sitting at the meeting on Sunday I realized that I have become an expert at shutting down my brain for two hours at a time. katewild has a good point though. That is a perfect time to meditate on an escape plan. I might just start doin that.

born in here and have been awake to ttatt for 3 months now and keeping it to myself is killing me.

i do not want to da as i have many close friends and family in.. .

i'm note sure how the wife will take it.

I'm in the same situation as you except we r both active not discouraged at all. I already let her know I have issues with the blood and shunning issues. That didn't go over well. The next time I'm gonna go with this approach.

"Babe, your my best friend. This is really bothering me. There is no one else that I can talk to about this. Will you please discuss this with me ... Yadda yadda yadda..."

this will all be done with a very hurt depressed spirit on my part.

i'm a born in, 32 years in and almost 6 out.

i've been out of the jw's since october of 2008. i came out due to a variety of factors, blood, historical roots, false teachings etc... my older sister helped me out back in 2008 and i subsequently helped my brother exit and the 3 of us became "born again" christians.. i've been mostly lurking but occasionally posting on jwn for around 5 years.

My question would be Why didn't you make it obvious that you exist? If there is a creator than he has every right to demand worship. But it's up to hiM to make his presence known. You can't expect people to know that your there.
