It is so obviously a lie......now
by snare&racket inonce the spell is broken, one you take a deep fresh breath outisde of the watchtower camp, the amazingly obvious realisation becomes clear.... of course this is a lie, of course this is ridiculous!
you find you have memories of really believing the claims and promises, but it seems like another life, another experience.
it seems so incredibly false once you leave and it is very difficult to belive you even once accepted it!

You are spot on. Thanks for the clear analytics and imagery, esp about gambling. That what the RC this year will take about. We all want it to be true, sadly...it's based on a lie. "paradise earth" is not found in the bible, but was mix-match from different scriptures. Many paradise scriptures are from poetic n books of songs, Psalms, Issiah, which specifically described the happy condition of those return from Babylon captivity. Did Jesus ever taught abt petting Tiger & lions in paradise? Bros n sisters still in , think! We all want paradise to be truth, sad to admit it, WT is propagating a lie that Jesus n Jehovah never intended to say.
Dear snare&racket, can i repost yr comments on my blog site as I like it a lot? I will quote you and give you due credits. Hope you don!t mind.

True. It happens to us. Many text mags, calls, FB comments asking abt our absence at meetings. They mean well.
some pop by to visit (spy) on us during our fade. All these "loving concern" evaporated once we submitted our DA letter.
it is a strange but liberating experience. Now we made new friends, contacted those ex-JW who had woken up n left, n those who are planning to leave.
Sad that a Christain religion has deteriorated to this sad state of paranoidia, negativity & guilt.

My Story
by objectivetruth ini'm 30 years old, and i was raised in the organization, my parents and grandparents are witnesses.. i grew up in a small town, and due to boredom or adhd or rebellion, i never took 2 minutes to look into the religion.. i always went to meetings and field service.
my parents were regular, but never "super-witnesses" so it was always the thing we did (meetings and service) not much more and nothing less.. the congregation, that i grew up in was for the most part friendly and enjoyable.. small towns, are very unique and they cannot be compared to larger city congregations.. i honk that they are a living and breathing organism, depending on the coordinators personality, so goes the personality of the congregation.
thi king back, most of the people in the town that i grew up were good people, just simple hard working & honest people... i really long for the innocence, of the time when this was the truth, and there were no worries.. driving to the conventions at 3 am with my dad and another brother, them slicing meat, me sneaking around the halls of the college, getting into all kinds of things.. conventions were a really special time for me... when i was young me and my friends would run around, messing around, pulling pranks on people, getting into forbidden areas.. running in the hall ways.

Thank you for the notes.
We attended our last DC in 2013. Seems that it is the same old talk again and again, I can even anticipate what scriptures will be used. Kinda numbing uninspiring, experience. I hope that more will wake up. The bible has more interesting topics to talk about Rather than the same thing again and again. Stale spiritual food is not nourishing. Please stop. Read the Bible alone instead and see the difference It makes in your life.

An interesting encounter with some sisters today.
by quellycatface inwhen i got up to leave, i went over to their table and said "nice to see you", their faces were a picture.
gemma obviously told them i was da'd.
all i got were tight smiles, so i said to gemma "i like your hair like that" and left......

Will behave normally if I see them as nothing has happen.
They will find it hard to behave normally. Feel sad for them.

Thank you for posting. It's basically the same talks we listened to for past 20 yrs. my wife can even guess the pointers in the talk in advance. Nothing new But the point about Beggars is. My last No.4 talk before I execute our full fade is about the benefits of higher education. There are many highly educated and as a result, rich n prosperous bible characters. I highlighted Luke, Paul, King Solomn, Abraham, Job, Joseph....you will see that the Bible is a balanced book and there is absolutly nothing wrong with higher education and being rich. best advice from the Bible- Give me neither poverty nor riches.

Today's wt study! Notice the faults?
by stuckinarut2 indid we all notice the way in which this weeks wt study (how to maintain a positive viewpoint) was all about keeping the flock positive even if they feel they are not doing enough in 'service'?.
the irony is that the very reason they feel stressed or worthless is because of the pressures the org puts on them to perform!!!.

I miss those older articles in the 90s about faith, love, and hope. Recent articles are trashy and serve to pacify the flock, which has already been worn out, skinned and thrown about. How to be positive? The positive ones are those Non-JWs and those who had left the Org. We can testify To that fact.

Did other JWs judge you? What for?
by Julia Orwell insome judged me for going/having gone to university.
some judged me for being 'too smart.

Judged for not being at the meeting during our fading process. We are told they will pray for us. Seems that we gonna be destroyed at the big A. I seen brothers judge Ray Franz for being a liar, yet have not read his books, COC. Seen how Sis Barbara ( child's abuse advocate) was judged for being vocal as sisters are "not suppose to teach" in the congregation. Christiandom pastor was judged for not familiar with the Bible ........lotsa of it. We are glad are out. Meet with few ex-JWs recently over dinner. Surprise! They are no longer judgmental. one even apologize for the past misdeeds for being too brainwashed And acted too rashly. We are all good people, just that Watchtower brainwashing bring out the Monsters in all of us. Glad to be truly FREE!
