  last month, my best friend of four years and boyfriend of six months came home from a jehovah's witness convention.

  he'd been acting strangely the entire weekend and i knew something was wrong.

  i initiated a discussion and he said, "essentially our relationship is wrong and i'm not supposed to be with you.

  where can i find stickers warning locals we have two pedophiles in our congregation and they enjoy parking near middle schools watching the girls walk by?

  they are not on the sex registry because the elders did not call the police in the 1990s, so these pedophiles think their home free!.

  how can i warn the town i live in jw pedophiles are spending lots of time going door-to-door?

  Wow? We live in a weird place. Pedophiles are all over the place. The issue seems to be with the organization - possibly its stance on pedophilia - and its ability to forgive. I have a very strong stance on this since I was a victim in my youth of a non-Witness. I'm not sure about your circumstance but no JW ever molested me or tried to cover it up.

  1- pray to god (whomever you may imagine him to be) asking for understanding.

  2- study the background about the bible (from non-religious sources) to see where it came from.

  3- discard (or at least set aside) chuyrch claims and dogma.. 4- read it, looking up archaeological/historical sources about the places and peoples referred to.

  Why don't Jehovah's Witnesses introduce themselves when knocking on doors?

  most random people who knock on the door politely introduce themselves when you open the door.. for example "hello, i'm derick from unicef and i'm looking for donations blah blah blah".

  now annoying as it may be for some at least he had the courtesy to introduce himself.. why don't jw's do this?

  is it because they are embarressed or perhaps they know you won't take their literature if they do?.

  One does not know what situation has arisen or may arise. There may be physical danger or predispositions people may have. Many people are misinformed about the practical truths. It is shrewd to see the calamity and avoid it if possible.

  some day far in the future, will we be looked upon as suffragettes who abolished cults with tenacity, courage and outspokenness?.

  will future generations shudder at the backwardness of cultures that permitted cults to flourish, and not comprehend how this could have happened?.

  will they be grateful for being spared death and suffering at the hands of cults because of what we are doing to expose them and reduce their growth?.

  As a whole, we will be remembered. However: that is less important that Jehovah's day being indelibly etched into history. Many 1st Century Christians who were a part of the little flock are remembered as a whole. Few like Paul, Peter, Dorcas, Rhoda, John-Mark, and Cornelious are individually remembered. Their accounts are lessons and warnings for us. Think of the Proclaimer's publication. There are many experiences of accounts from our brothers and sisters. Yet, more who are not noted. It is all a part of service to Jehovah.
