Gadget- nice work! It looks very good where you have it; just remember to slather it with sunblock when you wear short sleeves, so it will stay sharp looking.
kls- you're never too old! In fact, a lot of times people really regret the tattoos they got when they were 18 or 20, they tend to get lots of designs that just don't look good 20 years down the road. However, in your 40's, you have developed a better sense of yourself, and will likely choose something of lasting beauty. Ask my mom, she's 63 and saving up for her 5th tat. She got her first one less than ten years ago.
