  I saw the Queen today!!

  i went and saw the queen today, she was visiting a little town near me, so i thought, why shouldn`t i go and see her?

  after stopping myself from doing that sort of thing,(like going to see princess diana`s flower`s when she died), because we were advised not to when we were jw`s.

  it was a really happy day, people were waving flags, and the atmosphere was lovely.

  Does items considered part of the "Occult" still scare you?

  if i met you and you saw that i wear a pentagram and often speak about tarot and rune, and mention how i do magick and you saw that i have a wiccan calender on my wall and there are statues around my house of gargoyles, dragons, and other things no good witness would be caught dead with.

  would you be okay with this or does your mind still see these items as demons?

  i a an adult, i can accept people being judgemental of these items and i do come to expect it, especially with my own personal background in the religion.

  To step in here, the devil is an invention of the judeo-christian belief system. There is no "devil" in pagan belief or practice.

  No, I am not afraid of any of those things. In fact I wish all the pagans on the board could get together, we'd have a helluva time, hey?

  To be able to pack up, jump in the car with the dogs, and just go. Backroads, only left turns, small towns, large towns, lakes, rivers, mountains, the plains, on to the edge and then come back a different way. No freeways.

  I'm not watching again. Chris was the only reason I did watch that lame-ass show. I was ecstatic to hear that he has these other offers coming in. I have also heard that Sugar Ray lost their lead singer and was interested in him as well. I wish him all the best. He is one guy I will definately buy CDs from or go to a concert. I would not spend my money on an American Idol concert with more than one of them, but him, definately.

  Reading "The Power of Myth"

  it was like i had so many doors already cracked open, so to speak, but this book has thrown them right off the hinges.

  i would recommend it to anyone.

  it also helped me to understand james thomas' posts a lot better.

  Gay & Lesbian JW where are you?

  i came out of the closet when i was 18 yrs to my parents & the elders expelled me out ever since that my life has changed completely!!!

  i was born under a jw household and i finally celebrated my first birthday when i was 21 yrs and it felt weird.

  i was just wondering how to cope w/ this feelings, sometimes i want to go back but i can't ignore my feelings.

  There are quite a few gay ex-JWs here on the site. Lots of us have gone through some very trying times in coming to accept ourselves the way we were created. My life is soooo much better out of the organization. Got a partner of 5 years, a grown son, two dogs, a pickup and a Subaru, can't beat that!

  In fact life is good whenever anyone chooses to live authentically whether gay or straight.
  I'm sure you'll get lots of responses.
