  "I noticed you are on a JW site, DID YOU KNOW I AM A JW?????"

  i was at university the other night in the computer lab, cruising this site, well a fellow classmate who has been in my class since sept and we have become friends, walks past, looks at the site i am on and says, "i noticed you are on a jw site, did you know i am a jw, are you one?".

  i was shocked.

  i turned to him and let loose,.

  LittleToe, I do not believe the "annointed" have eternal souls. As far as the WTS goes those JWs who claim to be going to heaven are no more likely to get there than you or I. If you have an immortal soul then why would you need to be "changed" in the twinkling of an eye? Is the Bible truthful when it says that Jesus was the First to put on immortality? If we had immortal souls why would we need a ressurection? I don't believe the idea of an immortal soul is in harmony with the scriptures. I know there is wiggle room both ways on this question. You choose to wiggle one way I another. May God bless you.

  I post because I like to share my experiences and views about life, JWs and the WTS with others. While all of us are different as people, our experiences are amazingly similar when it comes to the WTS. I sometimes post to counter what I see as unfair or overly harse criticism and to hopefully add balance to discussions of some topics.

  Please go a little easier on SwordofJah. I am (at least in name) a JW. I'm sure that I would be disfellowshipped for apostasy if my viewponts about the WTS were public. Would I care? Yes, but only because of the family problems it would bring into my life.

  Except for their high control mentality and coldness toward non-JWs the core doctrine of this religion is closer to what I think the Bible teaches than any other. Jez, are you against only the JW religion or are you opposed to all religion? Have you ever asked a Baptist to explain hows a God of love could condem people to eternal torture in a burning hell? What about the silly notion about an eternal soul? This fabrication certainly flies in the face of Jesus Christ's teaching of a ressurection. Is the Bible a book written by men? Certainly, but I for one believe those men were inspired by God.

  Peoples religious beliefs or non-beliefs are their own choices. It's a good thing to expose the hypocrisy of men. Ray Franz, Jim Penton, Diane Wilson, Don Cameron (all authors) and many more have done a wonderful job of this with regard to the WT organization. I am sure that similar works abound exposing the hypocrisy of other religions as well. What ever the "real" truth is, may we all hope to be honest enough to seek it.

  The FBI Is Accused of Spying On Certain Religious Groups!!!

  like the quakers and some catholic groups that might oppose the government or be percieved as a threat to the government.

  this is according to the aclu.......i wonder if the fbi will spy on the witnesses.

  Because of terrorist activities such as 9/11, etc., the US government has greatly broadened its agencies powers to spy and snoop. The US Patriots ACT allows certain government agencies to gather about any kind of information they want about whomever they want. This includes tapping phones without local law enforcement knowledge or approval. Due to technology the means of acquiring all kinds of information is available or becoming available and WILL be used. An example is a computer chip that automobile manufactures are going to be required to install in all new vehicles. This chip will transmit data regarding where the vehicle is driven, where it stays parked, how fast it is driven and so forth. Think about how this information can be analyzed and used by an authoritarian entity. Religion and anyyone else concerned with liberty and privacy needs to be worried.

  My letter to the WTS. Hello? Is anybody there?

  about 2 months ago i wrote a letter to the wts regarding the un affair (part of mrs. kwin's exiting request).

  2 months and still no response.

  i explained in the letter that i had fallen into inactivity because of the information i found and am searching for an explaination how it could have happened.

  When the WTS doesn't like your question then they stonewall you. Several years ago (after I had already been divorced for a number of years) I reasoned that an affair (unknown to my wife) I had prior to becoming a JW freed both of us to marry. Research into the Societies publications (particularly "Questions From Readers") left no doubt that my conclusions were 100% in line with what the WTS had themselves stated in writing. The local Elders refused to accept my conclusions so I wrote the Society. I never have received an answer to my letter although I have since married again without any official sanctions for doing so.

  Are U.S. witnesses still morally superior?

  from the perspective of a uk observer it seems to me that the divide between 'the world' as it is in conservative heartlands of the us, and the mindset of the jehovah's witness is getting narrower by the day.. is there really a big difference between a jw and a majority of people in such places?

  in the newspaper today i read how the new film alexander was being slated for showing alexander the great as a bisexual.

  the uk independent reported that one online critic has warned christians that are considering seeing the film to "speak to your pastors immediately because satan is attempting to enter your mind".

  As an active (but not brainwashed) and fair minded JW I have found that many, many people have high moral values..as do most all JWs. Most JWs have a problem with the fact that a non-JW can be a decent upright person. I am very happy that the US newspapers have reported on the moral outcry of many in our country. This helps JWs to see that people can be Godly and still not be JWs. If they see the truth about this then maybe they'll start seeing the truth about other things as well.

  Reasons To Be Faithful - Part 2.

  part 1.. because, if you are unfaithful to your spouse and embark on an adulterous affair, you will incur the wrath of jehovah which will lead to you being disfellowshipped and ultimately being slain by his hand at armageddon.. part 2.. you would never do such a thing because you love your partner too much.. ..and therein lies the rub.. i've known many newbie-ex's who have played around once they've decided to leave the jw's.

  in many cases it was because they hadn't even thought about part 2 above.

  part 1 was such a dominating factor that when they left they abandoned that belief.

  Agree absolutely! Christians (real Christians) don't need rules because they are governed by the law of LOVE. Love for God and one's fellow man is a powerful force that works righteousness in the way God intendted.

  Yes, they certainly put the best spin on things that they can. I think they have to be careful though as many in the congregaions have noted the collapsing together of cogregations and the diminishing numbers who show up for field service.

  i have been wondering who is the president of the watchtower society?

  my mother told me that milton henschel died in 1993 and i have not heard of anybody ever replacing him?

  my mom also told me that the society has 7 new corporations within the watchtower society.
