What should we be teaching our Children?
by eyeslice indespite the lessons of thousands of years of human history, it seems that racial and religious hatred still dominates the thinking of many in this world.
the last century saw the holocaust and other atrocities of ww ii, rwanda, the killing fields, hindus against muslins during the partition of india, catholics against protestants in n. ireland, hatred by certain sections of the muslim world against the usa and list that goes on and on.
the hope i still have is that we can teach our children to think differently.

My daughter has a brain tumor :(

#2 daughter came home from college on 12/18 with a violent headache, nausea, neck pain and great fatigue.
we took her to the dr. on the 20 and again on the 21st as she had kept nothing down for 3 days.

We have been proactive in not only engaging the neurosurgeon, but also in having alternative healing treatments. Lena has had treatments by two different practicioners and will have at least two more Reiki treatments pre-op. This sort of thing is fairly new to us, but Lena was sensitive to the healing energy right away, and why not use everything available to us?
Sounds good to me, Brenda! All the best to you and Lena. And since you mentioned it, hopefully there will be minimal bleeding during surgery when it does take place.

Doctors at the hospital said it was the second time a patient had failed to notice a nailgun had fired a nail into their heads.
Amazing! Glad he's all right. Construction is such a dangerous environment!! The stories I've heard.

Loosing it

i started at a school that most are firmilar with: devry institute of technology.
during the course of my studies...my counselor informed me that i needed to pay off my student loan for my books by the end of the second month or the school would've kicked me out.

Five Shadows, I'm appalled at all the maneuvering and frustration you've experienced due to family and JW religious issues! Wow, that's tough. It's really sad that you're made to feel that your own brother hates you. I'm hoping that's an overreaction on your part. Of course I hope no one's brother hates them! I'm sorry to hear about the extreme tension. That could turn around in the years to come, you never know. I hope so. If not, at least you don't need to hate him back and have that eat you up.
So now it's been made clear I think that no one is going to help you with this - not that you asked, right?? But anyway, you appear to be on your own so to speak in connection with your education and I hope you are able to go forward with it on your own. If not now, then maybe later.
