Study gone bad
by galaxy7 ini had my bible study today, it was about demons,anyway the sister said that those shows on tv.
against jws are instigated by demons.. i told her about silent lambs and that it was true and had nothing to do with demons.
unless it was the molesting demon elders she was refering to.

"The Harmony of the Four Gospels" Musical Public Talk
by seeitallclearlynow inminimus mentioned in the "apostates are infiltrating the congregations" thread that the meetings used to be interesting, with skits and such, and you know, i had forgotten that!
but they were interesting many years ago!.
we had humorous skits and attention-getting skits, and a lot more slide presentations way back when.. so this made me think of a talk that was very highly requested in our area, titled above.

Minimus mentioned in the "Apostates are Infiltrating the Congregations" thread that the meetings used to be interesting, with skits and such, and you know, I had forgotten that! But they were interesting many years ago!
We had humorous skits and attention-getting skits, and a lot more slide presentations way back when.
So this made me think of a talk that was very highly requested in our area, titled above. And it was a MUSICAL talk!
A group of 4 assistants travelled around with this brother, and sang certain harmonies at given points in the talk.
It was great. Anyone else have this, or another musical or otherwise very different, actually entertaining Public Talk?

is that the god we have been taught to know?
how can they go from door to door trying to save strangers, when infact they don't even talk to there own family?

Another JV update
by JV inwell we had the co's visit tonight.
i can feel myself fading slowly away, i even called up some of my "worldly friends" and i even called up a girl who i had a huge crush on in high school with whom i've lost touch over the years.
why is everybody so chipper when the co visits?

The former elders on the forum seem to definitely agree with your take on the C.O.'s visit, from past threads - they too mention a lot of phoniness around that time.

I wish I knew who that "brother" was who spoke to a 14yr. old in his congregation in those vile words. And his phone number.
He actually referred to assigning you to work with the C.O. (or better, "Circuit Manager" as garyb put it : ) ) as scraping the bottom of the barrel???
That speaks volumes, even if he did apologize.

there are witnesses that are on the internet reading apostate things but are still members of the congregation.
they are slowly being infiltrated by the 'apostates' and are still amongst us.

I have to say I rather enjoy the banter between Minimus and his detractors, uh... playmates.
That's a lot of fun.
But to the question, yes, I've pretty much renounced everything they misguided me in. I still believe they taught us a lot of accurate history about the ancient Jews, but that could be wrong too; I don't think so though.
And now it seems to me, the churches have had a much better understanding of Christianity all along. And of the nature of Jesus. Like hilarious Gumby, "I don't know who I'm talking to anymore" , but I believe it will become more clear in time; so I pray to Heavenly Father, and directly to Jesus, who, in unadulterated Bibles, is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the LAST, God.
I'm comfortable using the name Jehovah, no problem with it, in conversation with Jehovah's Witnesses, but I do not in any way regard that to be the name God identifies with anymore, since He sent His Son to show the way. To BE the Way. Or He would have made certain that YHWH was preserved in the New Testament, just as certainly as He preserved His Word for us down to this day.
I'm taking it slow. But it feels great.
