Okay everyone, I need some help. I understand from talking to some one who was an elder, that the society has something in writing which says if a person believes they are scripturally free and that they are willing to stand before Jehovah and face the consquences they can get married -- this in effect leave the elders out of the equation and they can not do anything to you. Does anyone know where this reference can be found -- I need it as soon as possible. I can not find it. Thanks for your help.

Attention to child molestation waning?
by avishai inwhen i first came on thie board, there was a lot of attention to it.
someone mentioned in another post peoples attention span in todays instant gratification society that when a subject is'nt in the media spotlight, it kinda goes away.
i want people to know that these court cases are still ongoing, & sometimes they take years to resolve.

Becuase Witness are afraid if the bring these bad things to light they will be removed from the congregation. Speaking out against the organization is a ground for disfellowshipping. This is why it is being kept quiet.......

Pleasing Jehovah or Pleasing the Congregation??
by worldlygirl ini was always annoyed with my ex for using the words "pleasing to jehovah" to describe certain actions.
in actuality, he an his family (and i suspect others as well) seemed to be much more concerned with pleasing other witnesses or members of their congregations.
as an outsider, it seemed to me that they were always looking for "loopholes" to get by with certain practices, as if they thought they could trick jehovah or that he wouldn't notice so long as they were not reproved or disfellowshipped.. my ex sister-in-law regularly spent the night with her boyfriend or he with her.

Sword of Jah this is where you are wrong -- my ex-wife adultery the elder who was the PO came over to my house heard her confession and never got a committee together -- that was 11 years ago -- even know she she is not going to the meetings and I hav presented evidence of wrong doing and all of the elders keep running away from the situation not wanting to handle it -- so please do not say the elders always form a committe when something is done wrong.....I .

by toreador indoes anyone know if a letter from the wts has been sent to the congregations about their being a member of the un as an ngo?
or has it just been told to the elders and then the rank and file hear about it if they ask the elders?
i know the wts said it was to get a library card but i need to know if there was actually a public announcement to the congregations about it..

Enough people in the organization will not question the WT being a part of the UN. The majority of the Witnesses are afraid to question the elders. I had an elder try to call me an apostate just for telling them I did not agree with a priniciples the "slave class" is trying to enforce in my situation. Of course since I know the bible I told him that even Abraham question the Almighty -- therefore there was nothing wrong with me questioning something from the society

Here is what I say keep asking questions. Remember When Jehovah was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah -- Abraham Question him and even Moses got Jehovah to change his mind on destroying the Isrealites -- If the Almighty can be question and reason with -- then I know mere "men"--- can be subject to and question ---- !!!!

Detective your are probably the first detective I hired to look at the house and did not find any evidence of anything going on, becuase you do not do survellaince. I had to have an "amateur" find something going on and then call a detective. It is know wonder people told me not to hire a detective, becuase their are afraid to do survelliance -- thanks for the tip..I will never waste my money on another one.........

I will say the stance on men who abuse children needs to be looked at harder..I will encourge any one who has been abuse to go to the police regardless of the stance taken by the elders..this is a serious crime against children and should not be taken lightly. Report it to the authorities !
