How do you interact on the board?
by Fe2O3Girl inhow do you use the board?
do you bother reading people's posts when you start a topic, and acknowledge their response?.
do you read all the posts on a thread when you post to see if someone has added more details, or already posted what you would have said?

Do you bother reading people's posts when you start a topic, and acknowledge their response? Occasionally, but as a rule I read the title and the first post, and then reply... Sometimes I read the rest of it, depending on how long the topic is.
Do you read all the posts on a thread when you post to see if someone has added more details, or already posted what you would have said? Or just respond to the original post and ignore the rest? I usually post first, look later, and if someone has already said what I said I might make an edit, but I would probably just leave it there.
Are you an old thread reviver, bringing 3 year old threads back to the top? No
Do you feel it is very important to type a response to a troll that made one post three days ago and hasn't said anything since? No
Do you find that you get very little feedback to your posts, or that you are generally a thread killer? I don't know, I don't often return to the threads I post on as my posts do not have much substance!

Awakenings
by prophecor inbeing infected by wtb&ts propaganda, our intire way in which we relate to the world can often be askewed, especially as it pertains to our relationships.
if we are no longer in the truth, but have yet to come to grips with the fact that there is something amiss in watchtower theology, any relative dealings with people outside of the organization can be tainted with the fears and failures, unresolved from having been in the truth.
we see things from a twisted window of perception.

Would you buy a new car on a 60 month loan?
by Elsewhere ini have never done a 60 month loan and i have sworn i never would... but with how much cars are costing these days i'm wondering if i will have to do a 60 month loan on my next car.
that is five frigg'in years!
i paid cash for my last car ($4,500 - 1999 ford contour se, used) so i had no payments to make.

i think car finance is a rip off and waste of time, being in the uk i know it is better to pay cash and get a far better car for way less money, we are lucky in the uk that we have some of the cheapest USED cars in the world. i think it's nuts when i compare a dealer offering finance selling a car for £10,000 when if you have cash you can probably find the same model privately for £6000, across the board, if a dealer is asking £6000 you can probably buy it privately for a little under £4000... being tied to a car for 5 years? no way, maybe i am not the rule, but i tend to get bored of cars easily and have never kept any one for more than six months, and also the longer you keep a car, the more you lose, especially if it's financed.
edited: oops, forgot to add, i would never buy a new car, unless i had enough cash to buy it off the bat and not worry about money at all... i think buying a new car if you are anything other than healthily wealthy is just stupid, you lose something like 20% the minute you drive it away... 17.5% being VAT that you pay when you buy it new... hell no, i think you have better things to spend 17.5% on besides paying it in tax! -

How do you imagine the world 10 years from now?
by JH ini think that 10 years from here, we still won't be in the jw new system.
i also think that gas will cost 4 times what we pay now.. many more natural disasters will happen, like the tsunami and hurricane in new orleans.. there will be a financial crash .
living conditions will be harder, less clean water, more pollution.

Is this true in the UK and Europe?
by Eyebrow2 in.
i heard that in the uk and europe there are more cars that run on diesel.
right now, i think the only new car (not counting trucks, you can usually get a bigger pickup in diesel if you want here) that is usually offered as a diesel is the vw...like the tdi and jetta, here in the us.. the reason i ask, is i am wondering how many of you that have diesel are or would consider using biodiesel, or using waste veggie oil, etc...so that you can cut your fuel expenses?

by the way: the UK is part of europe.
it would be if sea levels went down 100m or so!

Do you like who you are?
by damselfly ini was inspired by rat's post.
are you a nice person?
melodramatic?
-
dh
Yes, if you dont like who you are then you cant expect anyone else to like you!
not sure if i totally agree with that... even if you do like who you are it would be arrogant to 'expect' people to like you because of that... i think people like people for their own reasons, not for the reasons a person may like themself.
for me, i am getting to like my life more as i get older, and maybe that makes me feel like i like myself more.

she was so emotional, and crying that she could hardly speak.
but, she said some powerful things.
