i must clear my conscience.
i watched this movie the other day even after swearing, on this board i might add, i would never watch it due to the fact that the maker roman palanski is a child abuser.. ok, throw your stones now if you must.
lol.
i watched this movie recently also and thought it was superb, really a great movie.
my grandparents and mother are polish and i grew up with stories of things that went on in poland during the hollocaust, we went to Auschwitz when i was a kid and i'll never forget the video footage they showed there, part of the deal of was to get locked into one of the gas chambers, i think it was harrowing for everyone, i remember my mom came out in tears shaking.
has anyone seen a movie called 'The Grey Zone' starring Steve Buscemi, David Arquette & Harvey Keitel? as a graphic depiction of the death camp and what people had to do and will do, i think it's definitely worth watching.

i just saw this on witness world web site and had a few laughs.
how many of you were this pathetic when you were a witness?
devon
they are seriously out of it... sure, i am not one to dismiss things straight away but this is too funny!
I bought something second hand that to be honest did make me a bit nervous.
oh really, what the hell did you buy?
if something could be 'bad' is if you see things "floating" around your house
mmhmm
here's the crunch...
now i haven't seen anything floating except my emotions
then...
is it "safe" as long as nothing is floating around
hahaha
an inanimate object did speak to me
I walked into a wall of ice in my living room...
and knives would set themselves out on my counter at night in a nice even row.
.
here come the wise words of theocratic comfort!
We need to remember demon influence isn't always voodoo, spooky stuff and easily seen. Often times it's a blockage of our prayers or a sudden decline in spirituality.
.
If I know that it was used by someone inappropriately, then of course I would not buy it.
used by someone inappropriately eh... hehe
A sister I knew in eastern KY had problems with demons before she got the Truth.
What do you expect if she's from easten KY!
if something or someone was demonized she could sense it, somehow.
demonized, what the fuck!
Mike. {:~)
okay mike, chill out with the demonic symbols!
Well you know that's an interesting point that things DO happen
No, really???
So the sister left the truth? You see that's what I mean. We have to be so cautious
Bright is the light, Proverbs 4:18
Song No. 111
My mother especially can sense the demons like a bloodhound... LOLLOL. But seriously
conflict of interest?

i just got an email from my mom (who's a jw) telling me that my grandma (who's roman catholic) turned 77 yesterday, she said i should call because my grandma would be happy to hear from me.
this might seem normal in a non-jw household, but it's the first time it's ever happened in ours, what struck me is that being raised a jw i'd never been told when my relatives birthday's were and conditioned not to ask.. it's been years since i left and i've never given it a second tought, but suddenly i feel pretty small for not knowing... my grandma, being catholic was the only one in my family who even acknowleded our birthdays, at one point when we were kids we weren't allowed to see our grandparents at all because they weren't jw's, it's insane.. to this day i still don't know when my mom and dad's birthdays are, i am not even 100% sure what years they were born in.. is this normal?.

i think in recent years, having watched my brother and i grow up, my mom has come to realise that the way we were brought up with the false isn't all it's cracked up to be. this year was another first, she called on my birthday, didn't say happy birthday, just called to say hi, which never ever happened before.
if asked, and i've asked many times, my mom would still say she absolutely believes it, but if i ask why, usually the answer would be because of the reason she first converted way back in the 70's (because jw's had more answers than catholic priests), nothing at all to do with anything that happened since.
i think deep down she knows better now, and realises that so much about it is petty and pointless, but i could be wrong and wouldn't try to push it at the moment.

hopefully not too many cows caught bse from this cow, and moreso any humans.. .
but i do think that this is kinda of a payback to the canadians.. .
we had one cow in alberta that had bse, and the us along with many other countries banned all canadian beef.
i have to say i'm disappointed the us didn't blame this one on Al Qaida
i can't help but think how the beef farmers in the UK who went through this a few years ago must be thinking the tables have turned, thankfully they haven't turned yet, and for the sake of these american cows we have to pray that they don't, but if they do we have to be prepared for the headlines.
CNN NEWS FLASH: Beef Producing Nation Suspected of Harboring Terrorists
CNN NEWS FLASH: Another Beef Producing Nation Suspeced of Hiding Weapons Of Mass Destruction
i can't help but pity the cows.

fortunately, he seems to be interested!
jackson keen on hobbit movie .
lord of the rings director peter jackson is interested in making jrr tolkien's the hobbit.
I also think that they could 'do' the songs, Gloin, Old Man Willow, the Barrow-Wrights, Bombadil and the last chapter of 'Return of the King', and use them in an super-extended directors cut DVD set to be released with the films re-edited to suit the extra footage and to allow the truely dedicated to wtach it all in one continuous sitting with EVERYTHING from the book.
that would be awesome to see!
does anyone else think that the people who read the book after the movie, or those who never read the book at all have missed out on something special? it must be more difficult to imagine the characters without the actors faces once you've seen the movie and that kills part of the magic of reading.
anyway.

hey, look at me, i feel like i'm in the apostate cia.
