Hmmm... Celt, I'm in agreement w/ the Texans... Tit's lovely. I lived there for 17 years. Hey, this was a nice post, I'm sorry I showed up so late. I would dearly like to visit with the witch some more. And you, too Celtic!

Celts Puzzled
by Celtic ini don't know what i'm puzzled about, though i feel puzzled, not confused, just hmmmm, with a puzzled expression on my brow.. i've been puzzled for a long time.
lifes a ruddy puzzle but it ain't half interesting.. what shall i write about, this, that or the other?
for whatever i write, one ends up in place one started from once upon a time.. hmmmm.

What quality do you look for in a friend?
by WildTurkey in.
what quality do you look for in a friend?.
to me loyalty is very important, i can?t hang around ppl i don?t trust.. what is important to you?

I would definately say communication. I really hurts when you have a friend; a really close friend and they tell you things that aren't exactly how they say they are. Wow.
On the other hand when two people can talk openly and honestly about everything; again... Wow.
I guess maybe the reason people don't openly communicate with each other the way they should is from a fear. Some kind of fear of the reaction of the other person. Oh, well... I guess we're all imperfect.

Why are breakups so hard
by Octavia infor those of you who have been here for a long time and have supported so many people, i'm sure you've dealt with this and are probably sick of the topic.
i thought i was fine; the relationship was not well, so the right thing to do is to either fix it or move on.
well, it doesn't seem to be that easy.

Well, I thought I was done crying until I read all the lovely (and honest) guidance you've all so lovingly bestowed upon me.
I guess it will take a few days (or weeks) yet. I'm a little bit anxious about my future. I've been divorced twice already... I guess I have a lot of soul searching to do- obviously there is a problem.

Thanks Codeblue. I'm sure you saw it coming. I'm not shocked or surprised; just disappointed. I thought it was gonna be right, but that's stupid when there's so much wrong in my life.

Did Jesus pray to himself ?
by hooberus inwhile trinitarians believe that the father, son, and the holy spirit, are god, they also believe that they are distinct persons within the one god.
thus they are able to speak to one another.
so jesus (one person) speaking to the father (another person) in prayer is not a problem.

I don't understand why the trinity thing is so hard for people to grasp. We were created in God's image, right? We have a mind, a body, and a spirit, or "active force".
Jehovah is the mind, Jesus is the Body and the Holy Spirit is just that!

For those of you who have been here for a long time and have supported so many people, I'm sure you've dealt with this and are probably sick of the topic. But I still need help. I thought I was fine; the relationship was not well, so the right thing to do is to either fix it or move on. Well, it doesn't seem to be that easy. There was not even any talk of fixing it. It was like I just started talking about the problems and thought we were going to deal with them at another time and then, the next thing I know I'm single.
I don't know if it's the person I still miss or the relationship (which was not what it should have been). It must be the person. It just happened yesterday, so it's still fresh.
It's like, I could see the POTENTIAL of the relationship, but it just never was realized. Do ya'll think maybe Jah's punishing me for getting into it in the first place? It is why I was df'd.

Help Required - I think I'm going mad, bonkers
by Celtic inafter the daylight dwindled yesterday and feeling well satisfied with the pictures that i had gotten earlier, i thought it would be a good idea to go down the waterfront and listen to me and the devil, a local blues band.
there's steve vocalist and lead guitar, morgan who is the bees knees on the harmonica, and retro tony on the double bass who used to practice often with madness, another top of the league band.
i thoroughly enjoyed myself there, listening to the music, my feet and fingers tapping away in tune swiftly to the quite exceptional beats.

I told my mother to stop contacting me
by kyria inafter two months of terribly abusive emails from my mother telling me that i "am not capable of appreciating true love" and her weird delusions that i have no friends and my life is a mess, i finally cut her off.
i blocked her email address, and i told her to stop contacting me.
yes, the jehovah?s witnesses.

Wow! That's pretty intense. When I first got df'd (the first time), I so rarely heard from my mom that I would shake for days after she'd call. She never said anything mean, just scary... "The end is so close...", "Can't you tell these are the last days...", etc.
Other than the once a year (or every other year) phone call I basicly had no contact with my family. But they were there for me when I needed them even before I was re-instated.
Now, I think they've pretty much given up on me after being df'd a second time! But she's still there to handle family business.
I'm sorry things are so tense with so many other people.

What Do You Think Happens when YOU Die?
by minimus indo you still believe in death's unconsciousness?
do you think we must live on somewhere, somehow?
-
Octavia
Ok, assuming we decide to "abandon" our fleshly bodies for a period of "time". From what I understand - from the people who claim to have died and lived to tell about it, there's a white light and then a tunnel.
Now, I recently read this book that says that when we die, it is an event that our souls (selves) had planned for us at the time of their mapping out our current life. From what I understand, our free will gives us the power or "opt" out of our planned "departure" if we still have a purpose, or unfinished business.
It's very deep and complex, but aparanty there's this psychic who astrally travels to what she calls the "other side" and "researches" and educates us. It's all rather complex, like I said.
I just can't get past that Satan wants us to think that we go on living, that was the first lie, right? God knows that you positively will not die; your eyes will be open, know good from bad...?
Is that right? Anyway, it's all very confusing, and I believe that Our creator truly did design the wonderful marvel that is us and life and existence, concisousnes, etc. to live forever.

What sad and dreadful thoughts fill my head tonight....
by arrowstar ini guess this all started when i read the subject of another thread "what do you think happens when you die?
" the first thought that came into my mind was "nothing".
and i don't mean that in the "your soul stops here and your flesh decays" sense.
