  who likes Battlestar Gallactica?

  i am curious how many of you watch this.

  i find it far more fascinating than many other shows, but i am biased, always had a flair for traditional horror as well as quality sc-fi.

  but the producers intentionally dumb down the special effects (filmed in hd but virtually posterized for effect outdoors) so as to focus on the plot lines and character development.

  the implications of morality and community in future colonies of humans is most fascinating to me.

  Aside from my initial knee jerk reaction to this thread, which I voiced early on. ;-)

  I'm an advocate of small government. The "Battlestar Galactica" films placed our long held beliefs into a situation that would allow most to rethink their values.

  Stick with the old, or forge a new?

  Who is good, and who is bad...and how can you make these critical judgements?

  I liked the questions that were posed. Finding the answers to those questions is something that I think we thinking humans have grappled with for years untold.

  Hey Buddy,

  I LOVE Battlestar Galactica.

  I don't watch tv, but I enjoyed the dvd releases of the made for tv Battlestar Galactica episodes.

  I thought the new "female" version of Starbuck was a great twist.

  I like books and films with good character development.

  Hell, I still like to "people" watch. Even in the most mundane surroundings one can find some interesting folks.

  Remember that character that used to sit on the bus bench in Canoga Park where we used to do street work?

  That guy was a blast to talk to, almost like "My Dinner With Andre".

  someone had stainless steel countertops installed

  Interesting thought. I wonder why we don't see stainless countertops in domestic kitchens. Too expensive to install? Or not homey enough?

  As an IBEW Electrician I've remodeled many commercial kitchens and those 40 year old counters still look almost as good as new.

  Anyone choosing to purchase granite countertops really needs to read about the uranium/granite relationship.

  It's interesting that the Chinese government considers many of the granite slabs produced in China to be too harmful to be actually used in China. Those are exported.

  I personally think adults should have the right to expose themselves to the hazards granite in a home might pose. I'd certainly hope that anyone with children would choose a safer solution.

  The quatrz countertops really look interesting as an option. Quartz is much harder than granite.

  I didn't last long as I was expecting "Jehovahs Organzation to move towards perfection".

  Gag.

  I'm not faulting anyone that came after us, I'm glad some of you folks knew it was a sham...it helped my niave ass to flee.

  Free raft trips and margaritas to any of the 90s folk that helped me finally rid myself of this nonsense.

  Bar-B-Que afterwards in my home close to the river.

  It was the rage in the Health Care industry in the late 90's?.

  There were other books that were a must read though.

  The one about attitude/healing, and others I have long forgotten.

  That one had a catchy title though. :-)
