  How has this board changed over the years?

  because i haven't been here too long, i was wondering what this forum was like a couple of years ago.

  the reason i'm asking is that i've been noticing alot of new ones joining.

  has that always been the case or does it seem like they are increasing more rapidly now?

  The "tiring out" of chronology

  much has been said on this forum about the reasons for the jw lack of growth in western lands.

  numerous explanations have been put forward for this and for the future prospects of the organization.

  but, above all else, i believe that there is one overriding reason behind it all.

  yes, i was in camara club for 2 years in high school.

  proud to say a lot of my photos ended up in my senior year book!!!

  My best JW's friend baby passed away

  he was only 5 months and 1 week old...he was not breathing when they woke up on wednesday, and they tried cpr, but it didnt work.....i am so sad for them.

  she was the sister that studied with me before i was baptised, and also the best friend i ever had, in or out of the jws.

  she moved away from about 4 years ago, and we had only spoken a few times on the phone since then.. a mutual friend of ours called me yesterday morning and told me.

  4 years ago my daughter lost her son.He was a few days old.A month later my sister in law lost her 3 month old son.

  It was hard knowing what to say to encourage either of them.We greived alot together.I do know that one thing that was helpful to us was joining a support group for those greiving.It was very healthful to understand the greiving process,and what to expect along the way.And to be able to openly discuss how we were feeling with others who wern't uncomfortable with discussing it.

  My heart aches for them.The pain does never go away but it does become tolerable.I hope this is helpful. kat

  I need help with a life changing decision

  my family used to be jehovah?s witnesses up until i was about 6 years old, for reasons unknown too me they left.

  when the events of september 11th unfolded they started going back to the meetings, myself included.

  it started out ok, i was keen to learn, but the more i learnt, the more i realised that a lot of the predictions and teachings did not make sense, so after about 9 months i stopped attending the meetings and eventually stopped being involved all together.

  be careful no matter what you decide.And If you want any relationship with your family then keep in mind that someone inactive or not a witness hag generally a better fanliy relationship with jws than someone who has been baptised and then decides to leave.Cus then your REALLY Shunned. kat
