a bethel insider in the know told me that all of the child abuse lawsuits where the watchtower bible and tract society was one of the defendants were settled back in the beginning of this year.
i questioned it and called napa myself and they were absolutely settled back then.
Settlements are always reveled sooner or latter, just look up the legal term "wrongful death settlements" on the Dog Pile search engine, they all say at the time of collecting that they are not supposed to divulge. But if the information is news worthy than it can be divulged, but of course only a news organization or attorney can say for sure what is news worthy and what is not.

i realize the suicide/murder of over 900 in jonestown, guyana on novemebr 18, 1978 may be old news but i've always been interested in how cult leaders hold power over their believers.
i've been reluctant to classify jw as a cult but some obvious parallels struck me:.
I agree totaly, its the same, I live in a area where the plegamist live, and I see the same mentality with them, fear and more fear, rather than a wholesome fear of God they fear man or a group of men. The Witness's fear a publishing corporation, now does that make any sense at all. This just goes to show how we humans are so prone" to to worship something even when the bases of it is so stupid.
I have been to a few meeting lately, and still see the robot like demeanor of most of the brothers and sisters. Its sad, to see people who really just want to worship god, but are being duped into human worship, by the pressure of the WTBTS through the pages of the Watch Tower magazine, and heavy handed tactics. I know God does not approve of their trying to become the conscious of all his servants.

I am of the annointed, and feel I have gods guiding holly spirit in my life, for anyone, or religion, to say they know how many there are at any given time puts them selfs in a bad light in Jehovahs eyes, for he him self only knows the heart as to if one has held onn to the course Jehovah directed him to and he accepted namly his right to human life here. Jehovah knows who are his children, he chooses according his good pleasure and not for any other reason, and does as he wishs inn this regard.
The present day original Bible Students, do not reproch someone for claiming to be of the little flock, where as the Jehovahs Witness's do, by saying all have ben chosen, and other such dogmatic statments such as stating that not all all who have ever died will rise in the resurection

of my wife's congregation visited me, a real nice guy, but i knew he had gotten the letter from the borg.
anyway like i said a nice guy he promised to call again real soon that was prior to the memorial of 2003, well the memorialo of 2005 has come and gone and he still hasn't come back to visit.
As elders, some have become as it were zombies in pleaseing the Org, and not Jehovah in shepherding the flock of God / Jesus in their care. Even those who shepherd with the greatest of care and the best of motives will fail to do so if they are directed by a wrong a source other than the bible it self.

The blood issue is so stupid it just makes me sick. There is NO place in the Bible that says you cannot inject blood into your veins for medical reasons! It was the drinking or eatting of blood, and showing no respect for it and very much more so in useing it in their worship to those false gods at that time, these nations in their worship to their false gods were the ones condemned by Jehovah, in their use of blood. The witness's have added to the commands of Jehovah, and their by have put them selfs in judgement concerning this.
But of course if it bothers your personal conscious then by all means follow your consious, you should not be judged by anyone, but you and your conscious and Jehovah in this regard.
Think of how many people have died for this stupid cult, just pertaining to the blood issue alone, not counting all the other issues that have killed witness's in the sight of Jehovah and in his name!

Like one time seen a Troll Doll running across the floor in my kitchen and there he was on the table, then he hopped over my glass of orange juice and ate my oat meal, after that I sprayed him with "Shout Stain Remover", he said thanks and ran and jumped into a rabbit hole outside to feed his head.
Afterwards I told the elders, they then accused me of smoking a doobie, and I was marked as a bad publisher, I cried better tears over this.
It has been sixteen years since the last time I seen that Troll Doll run across the floor, but once in a while he will" crawl under the covers of me and my wifes bed at night, and my wife thinks its me, but I tell her latter that it was not me cause the watch tower said that as Christians we should not do those things in our marriage because it will make us unclean.
