We had secret code when we in our teens in our hall, one of us would say hey lets go get a (1/4 pounder) but that means lets go to our stash of beer or go to Rex's house (an older brother who was real cool who would buy us beer) and drink beer and play Risk and get smashed at his house.

A few odd things I would appreciate some insight into.
by TheSilence ini've been away for a few days because my sister was in town visiting.
during her visit she mentioned a few things that have me scratching my head.. 1. her husband applied for a job and is really hoping to get it... it's a web design based job (i believe) but it's for the sherrif's department?.
2. she put off making definite plans to come in town until the last minute to find out if she was scheduled for jury duty?

Why do people hide on this site?
by Adolfius insomething i've noticed when reading the various threads on this site, is that so many people seem to be afraid.
their scared of being disfellowshipped, scared of being shunned, scared of not being accepted by the congregation, scared that people may find out they don't believe anymore, scared if anyone was to find out they use this site.
there is advice for people on how to avoid being disfellowshipped, if they may have "said too much" about their thoughts, or how to fade without being noticed.. i don't understand this.

(Tongue and cheek) I am asking for donations for my up and coming Christmas party, this year I will have lots of Christmas cheer this time, I will have more shrimp platters on hand, now I don't want anymore bags of dinner roles last year I had throw most of them away they turned green and powdery. I will buy more Wheat Thins and canned cheese, the people went through that like crazy and olives the big one my friends kids love to put them on their fingers those little dickens.

I hear yah, I hated JW parties they were such a dive, and pot luch parties were no better yah always had some cone headed elder waltzing around like he was some policeman on duty eyeing everyone over with his little smerk. There was this one old sister she had the young kids bring their mucical banjoes and or anything else they had, make us all set and listion to them before we could eat, yuck.

Hello brothers and sisters in Ogden, Utah and Brigham City, Utah and Roy City, Utah and Clearfield, Utah. Hello Dave and Joe G, and Bobby M, and Neil M, Robin M in RockSprings WY and Rick M, in Ogden Utah area. I wear a beard and they would not give me the time of day most of these guys and I have known them all my life.
When I was at deaths door from a head injury from a fall, my own brother in law who is an elder in my area told my family (mother and aunt and sisters they should not pray for me, because of my not meeting his expectations. I don't hate any Jehovah's Witness, but you should not take them seriously as if your life depended on it, because some of them really are screwed up personality wise and then you take those same people and make an elder out of them and have them counseling people in some important way and you will have trouble.
So I say hey, its not all that bad to have a spine and show your face.

when i was seven, i had an older jw female cousin who was thirteen who forced me into sexual activities.
she used threat of bodily harm as her way of forcing this.

When nothing is done you blame those in charge parents or who ever, but Jehovah is a mender of harts we have to trust that one day he will mend our scared harts from this old sick world.
I do trust that one day he will raise the dead and repair broken harts that have been damaged from this old sick world, only Christ can do this, just hold on do not lose the ember of your faith keep it burning red even if it seems so small, Jehovah will see you through to his promise.
