  ALL TIME FAVORITE "OLD" MOVIE

  i just finished watching "splendor in the grass".

  for some reason i love to torture myself with sad movies and sad songs.. the end of that movie is so heart breaking.

  actually its bitter-sweet but when you are still stuck on someone who you cannot have it is heart-breaking.. i had to restrain myself from calling my ex.

  Gone With the Wind and Casablanca at the top of my head. Lots of classics. I remember paying 8 cents to watch two feature films, newsreel, two cartoons and the previews. My brother was an usher at the theatre. Today, a box of popcorn and soda costs more than the price of a movie ticket, senior rates of course.

  Sixofnine, your comment, '...left you with plenty to think about,...' is the main point. The choice will always be left up to us. What motivates Moore to make such films? Is he trying to tell us something? In Columbine, was it guns kill people or people kill people?

  Schism, no need for me to change. I still have the same golf clubs, 1959 models. I think I can do a number on you with them.

  As to coming back, I do keep coming back to certain golf courses when I play.

  As to contributing to the post, why should I when there's oodles of comments?

  You keep telling others they don't get the point, others tell you there is no point. So, what's the point of me contributing? I think the dog chasing his tail says it all.

  Min, there's no question in my mind that wickedness has to come to an end, as to when, well, I have no control over time. I'm a strong believer in time. Everything in due time.

  As a life long competitor in sports, I don't give up. I didn't attach any significance to 1975. Whatever game plan the Creator has in store, it's not for me to check his hand. There are stronger foces at work.

  OK, back to work.
