Help - Trip this Weekend
by dobby inmy husband and i are visiting really good jw friends this weekend.. a little less than a year ago we moved to another state and have since become inactive and have decided that by end of this year we will probably be completely out, no matter the consequences.. we are not afraid of dfing, but i am just not sure how to broach or not broach the subject of our transformation with these friends.
i really like them, when we had trouble a few years back with elders and were "marked" they were the only ones who stood by us.. i think they are going to be really shocked.
i mean, we plan to go to an amusement park on saturday, but the husband may meet us there after he goes out in service (just makes you want to shake your head).

Ask them if they don't agree it's terrible when groups cover up child molestation and have secret ties to the United Nations. Then say nothing at all but wait until the Silent Lambs coverup hits Dateline and call them. Or tell them then and there what you've learned and that articles in New York and London newspapers back every word of it. If you can, add that your own friendship or love is not conditionally tied like a string to an organization but is open to them even if they decide to go along with shunning of you.

Yes, and after they disfellowship you take it to the local newspaper as part of a letter-to-the-editor in which you mention that the elders don't like things like the fact that they, the elders, hide child molestation as directed by the Watchtower Society to come out of the closet. Letters-to-the-editor need to be only 1-2 paragraphs long, so greatly condense things. I'd include the toll-free 1-877-WTS-ABUSE number of silentlambs.org.

Does the society have deeper darker secrets?
by sleepy inof course were all so familiar with the way the society covers up it tracks and it has taken a lot of work to expose its coruption.. but are there more sinister discoveries awaiting?.
why is the society so keen to cover up peadophilia in the organisation?.
does it reach higher than we are presently aware?.

Exiting Counselors and others should query exiting JWs and others exiting other cults for anecdotes indicating usage we believe to be increasing by fanatical members (who fear exiting members will report their hiding of child molestation to the authorities and media etc) of the following:
(1) electronic surveillance (wiretapping, hook-switch bypass, infinity mikes etc) and
(2) harassment via FM sound and voice transmitters.
Further, ex-members who believe they were or are targeted for such spying and harassment should be encouraged to have their homes checked for such items.
Anecdotes about usage of such items have floated around for decades. Occasionally people mention that their home has become "demonized," which is what the cults into such things like people to believe to drive them away or back into the their kingdoms.
So the invasion of privacy is a major issue. Besides widespread reporting of it which would help prove a pattern of such abuses, as the physical evidence is found for it, it needs to receive the widest possible publicity.

Who Told The First Lie: God or the Devil?
by Dutchie ingen 2:17 - god says: eat from the tree of knowledge of good and bad and you will absolutely die!.
gen 3:5 - satan says: god knows that in the very day of your eating from it your eyes are bound to be opened and you are bound to be like god knowing good and bad.. .
so what happen?.

Adam died within one YOHM, Hebrew for day (24 hrs) or an indefinite period of time as when in English we speak of "in Granddad's day" and "in the day of the dinosaurs." God did not lie. You and others who repeat the misinformation unfortunately do lie or, more neutrally, "mis-speak" in saying that He did. But because it is hopefully out of ignorance on your part and those who mistaught you, God may well forgive it even as He has so many other untruths. His Way is love.

The Connection between Elders and the GB
by Jourles inif you darn apostates would keep up with the latest rags and attend the meetings against your will, you would see for yourself the direct link between the governing body and the appointment of elders.. in the last study of the march 15, 2002 watchtower, page 14 paragraph 7 gives you the damning evidence that you have been looking for.. ...our leader uses this governing body to appoint qualified men--whether spirit-anointed or not--as elders in the local congregations...the recommendations and appointments are made after prayer and under the guidance of the holy spirit.
additionally, the individuals appointed give evidence of producing the fruitage of that spirit...these appointed men receive direction from the governing body and willingly shepherd the congregation.
in this way, christ is with us now and is actively leading the congregation.. can the italicized portion above be any clearer?

They admit the elders "receive direction" and the phrase "receive direction" is not detailed. However the so-called Christian Congregation of JW (and other fronting corporations) is directly involved in disciplining etc of elders, and it in turn was appointed by whom other than the Governing Body. Thus the Watchtower Society's Governing Body is legally culpable for the misdeeds of its own priest class, the elders, including acts of pedophilia, the hiding of pedophilia and the abetting of pedophilia by allowing pedophiles to go door-to-door in every nation of the earth. Babylon is falling down, falling down. Babylon is falling down, and look who she really i-ssssssssss!

Are the elders legally separate from the WTS?
by Simon inif you look at the privacy policy at http://www.watchtower.org/.
jehovah's witnesses and watchtower are committed to protecting your privacy.
please read on for more details about our privacy policy.. what information do we collect?

Courts make a determination based on answers to questions such as:
Are leaders of the WTS and or their appointed represents in the organization of the same name or organization under control in turn of the WTS leaders:
1) able to discipline the elders?
2) able to set policies for the elders?
3) in control in whole or part of the facilities and supplies used by the elders?
Obviously they are in control of the elders though exercising it via the front corporation the so-called Christian Congregation of JWs. Their seeking to use it as a legal subterfuge to hide and protect their assets is transparent to the judiciary, and their assessed responsibilities therefore shall be all the heavier in instances of impending litigation.

CO talk
by Fatal Error inwe had our second co talk yesterday, the topic of which was loyalty, thinly veiled as to one another, but dripping with threats toward those who might go against the society.. after the usual drivel about the society being god's organisation, and appreciating their junk food (as an aside, has anyone actually vomitted up any of this "food"??
just wondering...), i was rudely dragged out of my slumber by the co's harsh declaration that we should shun all those who slipped away from the thruth, as they inactivity is a bad influence.
he went on to heap the blame on them, "if they feel this way, then they should expect their due", "they bring shunning onto themselves" etc.... has it always been this way?
-

Yes, the WTS is even now passing along by word of mouth a tougher view of those who are inactive. What they have in writing sounds better, and their view of inactives was nicer in the past. But now, given fear of lawsuits over their hiding child molestation etc, they have stiffened their stance.
