Your presenting the reasoning personally is causing her to reject them because the reasoning comes from yourself whom she sees as "one of my imperfect kids." For a different approach type out some pointers then mail or email them to her and other people in the congregation (and maybe some to people in other halls) without a return address or name. The idea is to get them to think of the REASONINGS, not the PERSON. Christ noted those who speak God's real truth are not well-received from those who have long known them, and the same applies here.

Correction to what I posted: early October 2001 is when the liason was ended. Also somehow I stuck a D in on the name of W.L. ("Lloyd") Barry. By the way, he died of a sudden heartattack while giving a talk before a convention or assembly in Hawaii on the theme of Jehovah will kill those who oppose Him. Looks like Jehovah was and is upset over the Watchtower-UN liason.

The postings include copies of original documents including some with the explicit name of W.L. ("Lloyd"D) Barry who is now deceased but was a member of the Governing Body over JWs earthwide. Also given is the name of one Ciro Aulicino probably a lawyer representing the Watchtower Society. After initial application for the WTS to be admitted as an associate of the Department of Public Information of the U.N. in 1991 the WTS had to reapply for a continuation of that liason for the next 10 years until quitting early 2001 after the arrangement became more widely known via publication in Britain's prestigious Guardian newspaper and on the jehovahs-witness.com website. Addressing several things: This thread's main gist seems to be that when taxed in a country like France, the WTS sends bank account money from there over to England in an effort to dodge being taxed which must violate some national or European Union law – although correct this if it’s being wrongly put, please. Since the articles exposing the UN – Watchtower Society liason 1991 – October 2001 was in the Guardian newspaper in Britain, as you say numerous British Bethelites must now know of it and be examining files and memos from within. Some have said Henschel has motor difficulties such as speech impairment. All these things happened during "his watch" and with his blessing prior to the worsening ill health, and for the past several years Ted Jarasc has been doing a lot of the "hands-on" running of things at Brooklyn.

I believe newspaper readers in the United States also deserve to know about an important burning issue in religious circles. Each of the 10 years WTBTS's top-most leaders had to and did reapply for the NGO liason, granted by the UN with a condition stated decades previously that in so doing each accepted NGO would support the UN's mission. This the WTBTS did by frequent quotes during 1991-2001 of the UN or UN branches such as UNESCO, UNICEF and WHO, even while the Watchtower Society's other magazine, the Watchtower, sometime denounced the UN.
Recently a least one person at the WTBTS has claimed some low level WTBTS worker simply had a form signed just so that the person could get access the UN's extensive library. However the application forms were not signed by low-level Watchtower Society workers but, again, by the very top-most leaders - we are told even including W.L. "Lloyd" Barry, a now deceased member of the Governing Body of the Watchtower Society, the AWAKE quotes are continuous etc. The Guardian has rightly called the WTBTS stand hypocrisy. It is a deception from the top of all beneath, even the most stalwart members.

Someone had said that W.L. ("Lloyd") Barry had signed the application for the Watchtower Society to be a Non-Government Entity in association with the U.N., which puts the lie to the notion that some low level Bethelite simply wanted to do LIBRARY research at the U.N. since Barry (now deceased) was a Governing Body member of the Watchtower Society. Farther, for 10 years the AWAKE is full of positive type quotes of U.N. branches like UNESCO, UNICEF and WHO (World Health Organization), even one with a picture in it of U.N. Secretary General Kofianan and an interview with U.N. staff. Plus they had to fill out the application year after year for all 10 years, and as also pointed out the U.N. had years before the Watchtower's first application in 1991 spelled out in plain writing that all who get NGO associate status with it must support its objectives. The hypocrisy is that the Watchtower Society leaders over Jehovah's Witnesses earthwide simultaneously denounced the U.N. in the AWAKE's companion magazine, the Watchtower. Others have also noted that being a U.N. associate gave Gilead missionaries U.N. passes for free airfare.
Perhaps now people and governments of various nations as well as the European Union and U.N. staff will believe it when they are told that the Watchtower Society staff has made false statements to various nations such as in Bulgaria where in order to get recognition by that government they said that JWs who take blood transfusions are not subject to disciplinary actions. They later said "We don't disfellowship (shun) members who get blood transfusions, for they disfellowship themselves by doing so. And we don't disfellowship those getting transfusion but only disfellowship them if they get a transfusion WITHOUT being repentant that they did so. In similar manner the Watchtower Society stated in writing about 2 years ago in the Watchtower magazine that JW members can vote but then sent out Circuit Overseers to orally tell members in the U.S. and possibly other lands, "no, we do NOT permit you to vote here, that's for somewhere else." They were doing this just to try to get back legal recognition in places like France in order to regain the tax exemptions they had had until reclassified as not the public good (i.e. nonprofit).
Print these comments in newspapers everywhere!
