Yes I remember the poor planing. I hate when I was the only male "brother" showing up. I felt like going home. The coffee breaks were stupid cause I hated wearing a suit and tie. (Really felt out of place)

you get up at 4:30 or 5:00 in the morning to make it to the kingdumb hell at 5:30 in the morning (since that feb 2004 kingdumb misery, they want everyone to meet for street work at this time).
a quick discussion of the text, misapplying it to fit the misery, and then prayer and we're off.

Sleep Disorder Anyone?

Yes, sleep disorder can lead to health problems. I'd suggest strongly talk to a doctor about it. He can suggest simple things that can help. Or he can refer you to a sleep center, and they can monitor your REM sleep to see if there is any major problems. Or simply google it and get a good education. (web md)

What things did you do through a mtg to distract yourself?

wed have our barretts and elastics and the whole bit.
then when we got a little older we used to do our nails nail polish and all .

Back in the 60's when transistor radios were cool to have. I would have my radio in my front shirt pocket and put the ear phone on my coller. I have the game on or listen to rock. It was really neat the volume was very very low no one can hear. That only lasted a few meeting until one of my brothers told my mom.

Scared the P~Waddins out of me! Scary People out there!!

it is still daylight and it is drizzling, and she cut down the alley.
we have friends that live right by the store, and recently there was several houses bulldozed over.

Look around for self defense class. They will teach you of how to be aware of you surroundings. Using non lethel self defense weapons that really work with proper training. (pepper spray, a pro high end flashlight with a strike bezel and a small plastic stick for you key chain with training can almost kill) I am 56 years old I had a bad encounter with some punk. I took training on self defense and I feel much more secure! It a good feeling! Never be a victim.

Anyone else refuse(ing) to go to the memorial?
by Dune ini'm pretty sure that if i went today, it would give me yet another 6 months of peace at home.
but...i simply refuse to go to anymore witness events.
i talked to an ex-witness friend and she told me that even though she's df'ed and doesnt believe in the religion, the 'event' is only 45 minutes and doesnt see why i shouldnt go.

My daughter and I went to the memorial. Before we went we gone to the mall and she picked out a good looking outfit. She was 15 at the time. At the end of the meeting I was reprimanded about how she dresses. (What a bunch of dirty minded men) That was the last time we ever walk into that "kingdom hall" again. I love that buzz word "kingdom".that was 11 years ago. Yes 11 wonderful years of no gossip and back biting.

I went to my first Xmas party. The food was good, the people were very friendly. The "worldly people" are doctors nurses and technicians. good people to work with!

Urban Legends in the JWs

my favorite one was when a child brought a smurf doll to the kingdom hall and that thing just got up and went screaming out of the kingdom hall on its' own two feet.

I remember back in the 60's, they had Bethel lights (is that a word?) go on some learning tour of the power stations and dams. The reason was someones got to know how to run these after the big "A".

How did you dispose of your JW books? (Or did you?)
by exwitless inlittle drummer boy and i have a small house and we do not have room for the wasted space all of these books are creating.
here's a brief rundown of what we have:.
several nwt hardcover bibles, chinese bibles (lots of chinese students in our town), insight on the scriptures, concordances, a few bound volumes, song books, km books, reasoning books, the entire bible on audio tape, and more.

I pulled the hard covers off then I put the few books I have through the sheder. (A lot of work) I found 3 more just a while ago, I am going to wait until the snow melts and go up to the forest and experiment to see how a 380, 9mm Luger and a 357 mag penetration @ 20 yards.Boy I love this site!!!!!!!!
