  Google Street View of Bethal

  i was fooling around with the street view on google maps and discovered that you can navigate pretty much throughout the entire grounds at bethal in georgetown ontario.

  looks like all the roads are named and registered with the city, but it's still private property so the wts would have to give permission to do so.

  i just thought it was odd that's all.. and yes, i am incredibly bored and i have nothing else better to do..

  so earlier today i was having lunch with my sister when 3 ladies walked in to the restaurant.

  one in her early 20's..one in her late 30's early 40's and the last one maybe somewhere in her 50's.

  when i looked up and glanced at them i said to my sister that i bet those are jw's since they were all dressed in service clothes.

  Last week myself and 3 of my friends were eating at Denny’s restaurant. In the booth next to us were some JWs all dressed up from the meeting. I will tell you there conversation brought back some bad memories.

  We all got back from a IDPA match, so we all had GLOCKs on our hips. You should see the mean looks from them when we stood up and left. It was priceless.

  while an earlier version was made available privately the time has come to 'progress'.. conscious class and ex both strongly adhere to not keeping things 'hidden' in regards to wts publications, talks and documents which are circulated in order to maintain it's position.. another wonderful poster (who has yet to give me permission to name) has 'reduced' and 'bookmarked' the first full copy link i was given by our 'winner'.. in this newest and final 'clean' copy link you find two other additions besides the reduction/bookmarking..... the brother who uploaded the entire book wishes all to have a copy that includes both boe ltrs (pre-ks ltr and spiral binding ltr).

  also another development has occurred.... the brother responsible for this book being brought into light and put forth for public consumption and discussion has requested i post this letter explaining to 'us' (jwn posters/global audience) and 'them' (wts of penn & ny).. i ask you give attention to his words/ experiences as he is representative of a newly emerging demographic within the conscious class.

  yes, that's right, they really do not like people being able to read that book so they wanted links to it removed (it appears they have also been going after the hosts of the content itself as well).. unfortunately, i had to removed the links (which were dead anyway when i checked) and i'd ask that people don't re-post them (sorry).

  i'm sure there are lots of alternative ways for those with the information to get it to those who need it.. here are the discussions on the book:.

  What I hate most about missing the meetings...

  ...is when people ask why i wasn't there.

  usually i tell them, that i was sick, or not feeling well, which for the most part is true.

  what is irritating is when someone presses it, especially someone you are closer with in the congregation.

  Lets see, I did the instant fade thing. Email was not around then. All I did was changed my phone # and put up a do not disturb sign on my door.

  They did knock for like 2 years. For 2 years they did not understand what do not disturb meant.

  Like 12 years ago some lady "sister" asked me if I was a "brother" and looked at her like she was some kind of nut. I said I am my brother's brother but he lives out of town. wtf. She got really embrased and said never mind.

  ok so many of you did not mind sitting and wasting time in a car while out in service because it beat banging on doors and trying to convince someone to join a religion that at least i could not fully explain even to myself much less someone else.

  i agree sitting in a car beat banging on doors hands down.

  but was it not crazy going door to door.

  something i have not heard before on this board is waiting in the car out in service or any of the woman who were elders wives waiting on their husbands while in an elders meeting.. i was 24 years old when i got married to an older man he was 41 and had been an elder for about 12 years.

  i truly loved my husband when we got married.

  i truly loved him like crazy.

  I was about 10 years old and I waited in the car for like an hour alone. My mother and a "sister" were at a "back call" . I entertaned my self by playing with the electric windows and killing ants with the cigerete lighter. They got back and the car did not start and my mom said whats that smell?
