  Walmart of all places has many beautiful, efficient watches for under $20. I only paid $12 for mine, and it has an actual turquoise stone on it. The battery it came with has lasted more than a year so far, as did the previous one for an identical watch I lost. There is never an excuse to waste money like that. You can literally feed a family of three for an entire month on less than $400.

  How do I quote on this site?

  every time i've asked this in an existing thread, i've never gotten an answer, so forgive me for starting a new thread in order to ask again.

  i simply cannot figure out how to quote someone with the standard yellow box.

  i can copy/paste the quote, sure, but nothing i do makes it appear in a yellow box like everyone else.

  I already explained that I tried the quote button, guys. Next time please read a post all the way through before answering it. Those of you who mentioned Firefox are probably right. I'm on IE, so that must be the problem. Thanks for clearing that up for me. :)

  Every time I've asked this in an existing thread, I've never gotten an answer, so forgive me for starting a new thread in order to ask again. I simply cannot figure out how to quote someone with the standard yellow box. I can copy/paste the quote, sure, but nothing I do makes it appear in a yellow box like everyone else. I've tried the Quote icon and the Paragraph icon and the Link icon and the Code icon, both before and after pasting the quote in the comment box. I've highlighted the quote while doing so, and not highlighted it. I've done everything I can think of. What am I doing wrong? :(

  3 missed calls from my jw brother last night.

  i didnt answer because he's actively shunning me and when he does ring it always to preach to me about how we're so close to the end and how i should "humble myself before the mighty hand of god" .

  he then texts me saying "we need to talk".

  How do you come to that conclusion? The Addams family were actually very open-minded and accepting of everyone, even those whose lifestyles they didn't agree with (i.e. almost everyone).

  I would ask your sister why she loves a god who wants to murder you for the mere crime of not kissing His ass. Why would she worship someone so heartless and cruel? If she loves you, and she loves Him, then why would He murder someone she loves? How can she have a shred of respect for the person that wants to murder her brother. And if she were God, would she honestly do the same?
  
  Furthermore, where does the Bible say you're going to be destroyed? All I've ever heard on the subject is that, only AFTER all the obvious signs of Armageddon, when God has proven His existence to the entire world, if you choose to "take the mark" i.e. follow Satan, only THEN will you be destroyed. After all, it wouldn't be fair to all the atheists and believers in other gods and mentally handicapped people and primitive tribes all over the world who cannot be blamed for their beliefs, or lack thereof, for God to straight up murder them at Armageddon without first proving Himself to them and giving them the chance to choose His side.

  Oh, and if that's not enough, ask her why she thinks she's above Jesus, who chose to dine with sinners because "healthy people have no need of doctors," and who washed the feet of His disciples. If He can humble Himself and extend that much compassion to others, then your sister is pretty much required to do the same. Aren't we all expected to follow Jesus' example?

  pale.emperor Every witness I've known has told me that EVERYONE will be resurrected, not just JWs. Everyone, including Satanists and atheists, will be given a second chance. It is only those who are alive at Armageddon who turn their back on God at that time who will be destroyed.

  Why do so many people on this site say only JWs will be resurrected? If that is really what they teach, then why do all the witnesses I know say otherwise? I thought they were all fed the exact same BS worldwide.
