Bethel Coach Trips--Is there a Dress Code?
by LDH inhttp://www.bethelcoachtours.com
31. is there a dress code?
the society suggests a dress code be set up for the trip because everywhere we stop we give a witness.

are we free?
by nomoreTRUTHplz ini don't mean this is as a debate, but merely an observation.
i have noticed that a lot (not all) of us post and participate in topics that are nothing but arguements and debates over what should be believed.
i have also been guilty of this, but just began to wonder, are we really free?.

Debating is a good thing...it opens discussion to others ideas and can enlighten others.. It is only harmful when people take it personally.. or think that others should believe what they believe..
This is an open discussion board after all..as long as it doesn't resort to name calling or putting others down for their beliefs..no matter how much we disagree with them...being free means being able to express our opinions without fear of being ridiculed for them..

Do you not see, Do you not hear, Are you asleep?
by jw ino timothy, guard what is laid up in trust with you, turning away from the empty speeches that violate what is holy and from the contradictions of the falsely called knowledge.
21 for making a show of such [knowledge] some have deviated from the faith.
2 timothy 3:1-13 .

God led me to the JW congregation.
by jw ini rented a house in the late !970's and the contents in the home were given to me.. it happened to be books: ( making my life happy, revelation, children bible stories, listening to the great teacher ) i was enjoying the reading.. -----------------------------------.
a few years later began to notice awake magazines in doctor offices, and other public places and read them and enjoyed them.. ------------------------------------.
late 1980's my 7th son was 2 yrs.

Its a fact that the elders would never condone you posting on what they consider an apostate site..So you are already going against the society doctrine..If you think you will convert anyone here..some are believers of God and the bible.. some don't really have any religious beliefs at all anymore..If you are searching for answers.. there are many who have done extensive research on the bible and its history..They would be happy to help you understand many of the twisted doctrines the the society teaches .

Satan Helps Dubs Look Bad
by Clam inwe've recently started to get visits from varying pairs of dubs.
i've been pretty harsh with some in the past and told them to mark me down at the hall as a "do not return", but this has not worked.
a couple of new sisters called on me yesterday morning, so i carefully steered them towards the blood issue.

The society has really brainwashed some of their followers well..They are afraid to question any of the doctrines and are afraid to think for themselves at all..Hopefully you plant a few seeds for thought ,, maybe they will actually decide to research and find out the answers at a later time..Right now it is easier to blame everything on the bad guy Satan..makes it easier to accept being brainwashed I suppose..

OK believers, time to put up or shut up...
by Gregor inapparently, a large percentage of xjw's who post on this site have embraced some other form of god/jesus belief to replace the wt doctrine.
most of them fall into the "i accept the lord jesus christ as my personal savior" class.
they are still extremely attached to the old "forgiveness of sin through the shed blood of jc" line.

I
don't need it. I prefer for people to keep their religion to themselves. I've had enough religion to last me several lifetimes.
Believe me, I'M THROUGH!!!
I don't know whether god exists or not. I don't care. It doesn't matter in the slightest to me and to the way I live my life. I'm a really good person, with a wonderful family, wonderful amazing husband and life is good without god and especially without religion.
Now.. that's a post I can truly relate to and agree with!!!!!

My children taught me to be strong. I wouldn't be who I am today without them.
so true.. Jgnat( see I did finally learn how to spell your name. LOL..).. I see how my kids have grown and are making the most of life and which is also making mistakes and learning from them.. Watching my kids grow gives my life purpose and meaning..I learn alot about who I am by watching them make their paths thru life.

Great post jgnut !!!! Its true what you say about people who have faced death are the most appreciative of life. I think as JWS they are taught to fear God so much they are afraid to think for themselves...I believe a God who created all .. wants people to be free thinking.. Its in our nature to want to explore and learn .
One question I asked but never got an answer to when I was a teen JW.. was if God is all knowing and wise.. why couldn't he see the how Adam would sin and see how wicked the world would become.. Why would he really allow it just to justify himself as almighty... My study conductor said at that time.." He chooses to see what he wants to see and then chooses not to look into the future if he doesn't want to know what will happen.. Never made sense to me..Anyways.. I enjoyed reading your comments...
