  do you think we post differently on former meeting times?

  such as tuesday night, thursday night and sunday.

  my observation is that the board is more active on fluff subjects at those times.

  we could fill a statium and pass out literature with instructions how to excape the jws mind control and fear of the world ending.

  we could sit and laugh and chat druing the session, then at lunch time we could find the jws standing on the corner selling magazines it could be a lot of fun...

  i have been reading here for a while but as you may of noticed the assembly games post has flushed me out!

  it has been fascinating to read all your experiences and to know that the stuff that i thought was odd, was thought odd by others as well.. two things made me leave:.

  1. i found i could not do return visits as i did not want to break up families.

  JW's give advice on how to get rid of apostate literature

  i know we have had threads on this board about getting rid of jw literature.

  they make a lot of the same suggestions, throw it away, use it as liner for the pets, etc but some of their suggestions are down right hilarious.

  one poster said the literature should be dipped in acid and one poster said she wipes her dogs butt with apostate literature.. http://ewatchman-exposed.co.uk/research/read.php?t=2196&reply=13#msg13.

  just wanted to run an informal poll to see how "effective" or hopelessly "ineffective" the borg tract assimilation drive has been.. i for one, have not received the tract, and i live in densely populated development.

  did anybody get it left in their doors/mailboxes?.

  i just found this place and thought i'd post.

  i'm a 50+ year old grandmother who was "raised in the truth".

  i have been on my way out of "the organization" for several years now, but have moved cautiously because i don't want to jump from the firing pan into the fire so to speak.

  Christmas is a time for family and friends. At least, it is here. There is no "correct" way to celebrate Christmas. Normally, gifts are given to the people you care about. They don't have to be expensive or elaborate. It's nicer when they're heartfelt. As far as the meal goes, all the JWs here do it anyway. They get together on Christmas day and have a big turkey dinner. They just don't do it with their family unless their family are JWs. Any other traditions are a matter of taste and local tradition.

  I can't believe it! One of our local elders' wives was just at our door giving us our very own copy of the new tract. It's the first time a JW has called on us in about 10-12 years. I hope it's not a sign of things to come. LOL
  
  Got to catch up on how some of the JWs we knew are doing, anyway.
