One thing we always wondered; if the WTS orchestra had all these top-notch players from the New York Symphony, etc. then why did it always sound so bad?
Oh god! Nos. you just inspired my husband to dig out those d*mned KM tapes and he's now torturing me with them.

Kingdom Melody Jam Session
by sass_my_frass intop memory: my childhood congregation was very musical; lots of people played.
a few times we'd have a jam session where this guy would dig out some pretty standard sixties rock, lead with the piano and we'd follow along (me transposing up on the clarinet...).
he was this sweetest guy, he used to mimic kermit the frog singing the rainbow song perfectly.

Sass, the KM would definitely ruin any evening. When we faded I made sure that the songbooks disappeared. Otherwise my husband would've tortured me with them. Unfortunately, I missed a few cassettes and every so often I get a blast from the past. LOL He does it just to get to me. He's constantly lamenting that he no longer has a songbook and can't play me a few tunes. He's tried from memory, but it's all too long ago and he can't remember how they go.
Back to your topic, some of my husband's fondest memories are of a brother and his wife who played violin and piano at their gatherings. They only played the KM's at the Hall.

On Meeting Nights........
by Cellist indo you think we post differently on former meeting times?
such as tuesday night, thursday night and sunday.
my observation is that the board is more active on fluff subjects at those times.

LOL Well, maybe not then. I could be imagining things. I just thought it was a funny thought. I know that if the internet would've been around when we faded I would probably have been inclined to light-hearted posts at those times. Mostly out of the giddy relief of not being at a meeting.

time to introduce myself
by Sam87 inok, ive been posting here for quite a few days and i realised that i havnt actually introduced myself properly.
at the moment i am slowly gathering as much information about what the org has done wrong and i will be putting it into an easy to read (easy enough for jws to read i should say.
later on i would like to go to an assembly and put my new 'tracts' on the seats and under peoples window washers, anywhere where they can be seen, because i view this as my new form of witnessing, and let me tell you its going to be alot more fullfilling than anything ive ever done in the jehovahs witnesses!.

Any active dub disappointment 'bout lack of persecution from the CRAP TRACT
by Kudra inyou know, they were all riled up and saying that the tract would precipitate armageddon and all.
have any of them even noticed that no one batted an eye in response to the "campaign"?
isn't the tract-work supposed to be over now?

Isn't there still two weeks of distribution left? I'm sure they'll keep their hopes up till the bitter end of the campaign. LOL
