  currently, congregations in the us might have an average of less than 5 elders each.

  a large number of elders are debilitated by age or chronic illness.

  in addition, i knew of many elders.

  If they run out of men they will just get the sisters to do the labor under the "direction" of a brother. Maybe they'll issue standard hats for them.

  first of all i would like to think everyone for the support i recieved yesterday.

  i would also like to shed some light on my past, hopefully this does not give it away as to who i might be.

  my wife and i were both raised as jw, we were both baptized when were fifteen years old.

  I'm sorry about the situation. However, ditch the wife. You can't trust her. If she turned on you and LEFT you, the children and the house, there is nothing to salvage. Make peace with it and move on.

  i think you have to wonder if the watchtower society has degenerated to the point where they don't.

  even bother to research the bilge they print and they just make up whatever gets them by.. what did jesus mean by "this generation"?

  Week long Elders school announced

  at the agm it was announced that all elders in the us will attend a weeks 5 days kingdom ministry school next year.

  there will be a different class held at patterson each week until all us elders have attended.

  not sure about other countries.

  60,000 elders in the US branch. At 300 per week for 50 weeks that is 15,000 a year. It'll take 6 years at that rate for the US alone.

  Annual Bethel Meeting

  my parents just came back from the annual bethel meeting in brooklyn.

  they said only 3 of the gb were there.

  they felt the need to inform me of everything even though i was in a blur watching tv.

  Someone very close to me attended this meeting and I have not heard a peep from them. Making they think the cleansing is starting with me? Or maybe they woke up Sunday morning after all the BS on Saturday and decided to get the hell out.

  It does sound like there is something afoot that will shake up the ranks. Good. They need shaking up.

  but it's the truth.

  witnesses are known to go into wealthy neighborhoods and while riding around in service or actually going to someone's house, they declare that "these people already have their own paradise but as soon as armageddon comes, i'm gonna take this house and when they die, it's gonna be my mansion!.

  Does Gilead have any accreditation?

  when a witness talks about someone who has "graduated" from gilead, they always make it sound like such an accomplishment as if they graduated from harvard or somethin...lol.

  i know it's called the watchtower bible school of gilead and is located at the watchtower educational center in patterson, ny (sounds impressive, uh?)..

  it used to be known as the watchtower bible college of gilead in south lansing, ny.. does this school have any accreditation that you know of or is it just glorified classroom training for jw "missionaries"?
