  i spoke with an older sister who attended the annual meeting and has connections at bethel.. i asked her about what the "generation" change was and she was almost dismissive about it, as if it.

  barely mattered.

  If the old timers start paying attention now, then it will leave them without hope. They all are still hoping for the Big A in their life times. It is so sad

  that instead of burning their own candle, they let the WTS do it for them. The generation change will extend the Big A into the distant future. Paradise

  will come only after death, or as one speaker said in the last District Convention I attended: some will take the "underground" route to the New System. They

  are so dismissive of the hopes they have built up in others who have hoped out of clean heart. These guys are evil.

  however, there is a possible way for the world to end in or around 2012.. it does not involve god or the bible.

  instead, it involves the passage of codex alimentarius.

  are jws saving the sinners or the righteous today.

  in matthew chapter 9 verses 10-13 it says- 10 and it came to pass as jesus sat at meat in the house, behold , many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.11 and when the pharisees saw it they said unto his disciples.why eat your master with publicans and sinners?12 but when jesus heard that he said unto them, they that be whole need not a physician but they that are sick.13 but go you and learn what that means, i will have mercy and not sacrifice, for i am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.. i noticed a few intresting points in this scripture, firstly jesus was associating with sinners and eating a meal with them.the pharisees were frowning on this in a similar way today the watchtower society has a similar attitude.if we were eating with such " worldly people imagine what sort of advice we would be given inside the watchtower walls, " bad association ".. the most intresting point i noticed though was that jesus said " i am not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.so jesus must have recognized that the world had righteous people, but he was concerned with teaching sinners the right way.today on the ministry jehovahs witnesses say they are gathering not the sinners but only the righteous " the right hearted ones.seems to me jesus had a more balanced attitude of the world than the watchtower does.

  we have such an interesting group of people from around the world on this board.

  it might be interesting to have a thread where you discuss a hobby, something interesting that happened in the past, somewhere you've been, etc.. not deep, dark confessions - just interesting stuff.. .

  * i have travelled into all 48 american states that are not named alaska or hawaii.. * for the past few years, i have had a slight walking impairment due to a form of arthritis known as ankylosing spondylitis.
