I remember back in the day when I was a devout JW in the 90s Elders would go to the hospital to try and see if a person took a blood transfusion. I remember my cousin was having surgery after a severe car accident and if he did not take blood the doctor said he would have died. The elder came to the hospital and badgered my cousin's wife until she told him my cousin did get some blood. The elder left in a huff and told my cousin-in-law "Tell Sam he will be disfellowshipped and you will be publicly reproved for not informing the body of elders". My cousin-in-law went off and told the elder to get the F----k out of the room. The elders disfellowshipped my cousin and his wife for "conduct unbecoming a christian".

How do BACs and JWs explain animals that practice "homosexual" activities?
by booker-t ini absolutely love watching the animal channel and just observing the animal kingdom has really brought up some serious questions for any devout anti-gay religions such as born-again christians(bacs) and jws.
some animals such as deers practice lesbianism when there is no male deer around.
i almost fell out of my chair when watching this.

The female deer would not go to the male deer but would only try to have sex with the other female deer. How would anybody that is anti-gay explain this. Did Jehovah create gay animals?

Im curious how long does it have to take for a BAC/JWs to say enough is enough?
by booker-t ini was wondering just how many years have to pass before a bac(born again christian) or a jws before they say enough is enough with no rapture/armaggeddon.
i just feel sorry for them to just be waiting and waiting and waiting without any results.
bacs have been waiting for the rapture for 2000 years and sometimes i wonder is it a mental defect or is it they just are so "blinded" and cannot see they have been duped.

i have always wondered about this because they are not guranteed everlasting life until they past the final test after the 1000 year reign of jesus.
what happens if moses is angry with jehovah after he is reserrected and cannot believe it took so long 4000 years for the great tribulation will he be wiped out instantly.

I guess a good JWs will argue if they wake up after the great trib/Armaggeddon then that will be proof positive JWs were right and the churches were wrong.

i know now they do not point to any specific date but hint that maybe it might occur such as before 2000 the preaching work will be finished.
this is a suggestion not a prediction so they can wiggle out of this one.

The 1984 generation will not pass away did a lot of harm for them with old time JWs but it was not a concrete date set on this. Yes that generation all died but with their new light on the generation they can say the generation has not died out yet. I think JWs have learned to set a date will only come back to bite them.

Sisters conducting meetings where there is a lack of brothers
by booker-t ini remember years ago when i was a little boy aroung 9 years old, our bookstudy conductor was in the hospital and at the last minute one of the elders asked my aunt to be the book study conductor.
this was the first time i have seen this happen.
my aunt did a very good job and the bookstudy acted as it was not something from outer space.

This was the first time I have seen this happen. My aunt did a very good job and the bookstudy acted as it was not something from outer space. There were no brothers in that bookstudy except myself and my 12 year old older brothers. It was a bookstudy with mostly women and children. The elder was in the hospital for about a month and my aunt conducted the bookstudy for about a month. I remember she asked my 12 year old brother to say the opening and closing prayer and she wore a scarf on her head. Have anybody else had a experience where a sister conducted the bookstudy or other meetings where there was a lack of brothers in the hall.

Does it talk about the clay statue and the UN being the 8th world power? I was just wondering because JWs are so facinated with these topics to prove we are near the end.

I'm confused! Just what is the "new" donation arrangement and how is it like "tithing"?
by booker-t ini've been out so long but many of my ex-jws friends have been telling me of a "new" donation/tithing arrangement the wts is using today.
when i was a jws we had "contribution" boxes at the back of the kh and the elders would give talks about contributing to the kingdom interest.
we were not forced to give but gave as we pleased.

When I was a JWs we had "contribution" boxes at the back of the KH and the elders would give talks about contributing to the Kingdom interest. We were not forced to give but gave as we pleased. Now I hear it is like the tithing in the churches is this true? JWs always used to bash the churches about begging for money and I find it hard to believe they would do the exact same thing now. I could be wrong but can someone please explain this new arrangement for me?

I love hearing her side and point of view which in the past I would have dismissed as "Satanic" thinking. She has some very good questions and I am having a hard time answering them. She brought up another question about animals and if Jehovah and Jesus really cares about animals then why do animals kill each other. This seems to contradict what Jesus told his disciples about Jehovah caring for a sparrow when it falls. I watch the nature channel and I literally start getting teary-eyed watching the lions and tigers shred a deer in a matter of minutes. I just have to wonder does Jehovah really care about those animals getting torn to pieces? Also she brought up another excellant point when she asked me "Why does Jehovah and Jesus" always talk about forgiveness and loving your enemies when Jehovah will never forgive people he destroyed in the flood, Sodom and Gomorrah. Couldn't Jehovah just tell himself they did not know any better they died before Christ came to earth so I will give them another chance. Adam and Eve did not fully understand death and the severity of it so Jehovah could have given Adam and Eve one more chance. Every human parent will give their children chance after chance but Jehovah seems at times cold and hard. Posters what do you feel. I just love talking to my coworker but I do not ever think I will become an Atheist but I just like hearing these questions.
