This might sound funny but I have heard many stories of JW's fighting in the KH bathroom or arguing. I remember an elder's wife who was having alot of medical problems cursed out another sister in the bathroom. She called her everything but the kitchen sink I was told by another sister that was in the bathroom when this altercation took place. Another time two sisters in my hall had a knock down drag out fight in the bathroom and the brothers had to go into the bathroom and break the fight up. I am sure these are not isolated cases and is more common then we want to believe. Tell me your KH fight stories from your hall or other KH you have heard about. Was there a Jerry Springer moment in your KH?

Do you know of any "pioneer sisters" that were alcoholics or who drank?
by booker-t inwe are always hearing about jw men that drank too much and had drinking problems.
i remember one of the ministerial servants in my old hall was seen at the liquor store buying 2 hugh vodka bottles.
the next week he was "publicly reproved" and stripped of his bookstudy, deleted as a pioneer, and his request to go where the need was great was revoked.

Sad to say this brother died of liver problems last year and I heard through the "grapevine" that he was a alcoholic. He was such a nice guy I miss him alot. But on the flip side of the coin what about the JW women especially pioneers do you know of any or did you know of any alcoholic JW pioneer women and what eventually happened to them? Were they reproved, disfellowshipped or disassociated?

Do you think that the Governing Body will pick JW women when men die off?
by booker-t ini know this might seem like a big laughable joke, but i was wondering what will happen when all of the gb members die off or get too old to continue as gb members?
will they start to pick jw women who claim to be of the annoited and or old enough to be alive during 1935?
evidently the chosen will get too old to carry on and there will be "new light" to say that young jw can be of the annointed and gb.

I remember years ago when I was around 10 yrs old my devout JW aunt was our bookstudy conductor when our regular bookstudy conductor was in the hospital. I was shocked but my aunt did a very good job and she wore a head covering. The thing about this was there were baptized brothers in my hall that could have replaced our bookstudy conductor but the presiding overseer felt my aunt would do a better job than those brothers. So what happens if the GB decides to let JW sisters on the GB and claim it is new light from Jehovah to allow sisters in this area. What do you posters think?

What religion have you changed to now that no longer a witness?

i teeter on that myself.
but i have toyed with hooking to a little country church with some friendly people to associate with.

I think Blondie hit the nail on the head. Just serve Jehovah and Jesus to your best ability and leave it at that. I think the problem with organized religion is that it is man-made and judged by man not Jehovah or Jesus. Jehovah and Jesus Judges the heart man sets up a million rules for a person to follow and concludes that if you break one of the rules you don't love God. No matter what happens with the WT or other religions I will never let another religion tell me what I have to believe in in order to be saved. I have heard that most ex-jws that leave the WT go into another religion complaining about that new religion so it is not God or Jesus that the ex-jw is serving it is a group of people.

How many times can a person be "publicly reproved" without Disfellowshiping
by booker-t ini always thought that a person would be "reproved' once then disfellowshipped but i have heard of cases of jw's being reproved 3 and 4 times without being disfellowshipped.
i have been out for so long now i guess the rules have changed since i left in 1993. those elders did not show me any slack when they came to my house for a committee meeting to df me.
but i fooled them and da myself and told them off for three hours at the same time bringing up all of the wt skeletons in the process.

I thought I would never go to a prostitute for sex when I was a "devout" JW. I would look at the prostitutes as scum. Boy that scum sure was good. Never judge and never say never is what I have learned.

Do "born-again christians"believe that the Pope went to heaven or hell?
by booker-t ini ask this question because i know alot of "born-agains"that do not like roman catholics and feel that they worship mary and will not make it to heaven.
my friend that is a devout catholic has told me many horror stories of christians sending pamphlets to catholic churches telling them that they will burn in hell.
i was igronant of the anti-catholic hatred that is taught in many born-again christian churches.

My friend that is a devout Catholic has told me many horror stories of Christians sending pamphlets to Catholic churches telling them that they will burn in hell. I was igronant of the Anti-Catholic hatred that is taught in many Born-Again Christian churches. When you ask a born-again christian if Catholics are going to heaven they will generally answer your question with another question such as What do you mean are they going to heaven? or I have heard some born-agains say Do you mean if Jesus is their Savior? or some will say That is up to God to decide. If you notice not one of these is a yes or no answer so that is defitenitely a red light to the born-again bigotry towards Catholics. Another way you can tell if born-agains do not like Catholics is to invite them to a Mass service they will look at you as if you have horns. When born-agains bring up that Catholics worship the Pope I tell them that Born-Agains worship Jerry Farwell, Billy Graham, Benny Hinn, Oral Roberts, Fred Price is worshipped by millions of African Americans as is TD Jakes. I think one of the major problems that born-agains have today is that they are so quick to throw stones at other religions that don't agree with their interpretation such as Catholics, JWs, Mormons, 7th day Adventists, and Muslims. I think many will be shocked if they get to heaven and Pope John Paul II has to let them in the pearly gates. (ha-ha)

I have always wonder even as a young child growing up is How will we know that the world has entered into the "great tribulation"? How will we know when it is Armaggeddon? Will Jehovah or Jesus announce from the heavens that it is the time? I don't mean to sound like I am making fun of this serious topic but I have always wondered. How long is the great tribulation going to last? I have heard some say 7 years some say 3 1/2 years. I have heard that Armaggeddon will take place in the dark so the faithful won't have to see love ones slaughtered. Does anyone know of any scriptures that specifically answer these questions I have?

I know a girl that has been DF 4 times and the elders told her to get lost?
by booker-t inyou would think after one time of humiliation a person would run from the jw's and never ever step foot inside a kh but my co-worker is in her mid-40's and has been df a total of 4 times since her baptism in 1979. i have talk to her over and over again but she said she is going to meet with the elders and asked to being reinstated.
she is completed shunned by her jw mom and her uncle is a co. i feel sorry for her because she feels so guilty all the time and fears being destroyed at armaggeddon.
she is totally wasting her life running and begging the elders for forgivness.

At her last appeal for reinstatement the elders told her she should get married first before she tries to come back. She is a single woman that had many boyfriends that caused the numerous DFs. I told her to see a therapist to help her solve her guilt but she tells me I am demon-possessed. What should I do just let her hit rock bottom or be their for a shoulder to cry on. It is becoming very depressing being around her.

I remember in the 70's and early 80's when the WTS "created" the term "disassociation" for people that left on their own and many JW's were confused as to whether or not to speak to the DA person or was they really "kicked out" and there was so much confusion I found out later that they only created this DA term because ex-jws were suing them for saying they was DF for conduct unbecoming of a Christian. When a DA jw left many of them were not involved in immoral conduct so the WTS had to make a clear distinction of one who left on his own and one who was kicked out. With the new policy it seems that they are reverting right back to the old way lumping both DA and DF in one catorgory.
