  When is a person's "race" not going to be the topic of conversation?

  i think this don imus scandal just goes to show that no matter how hard a person works or how much he or she succeed in life their "race" or ethnicity or "gender" is always going to be the determining factor.

  instead of don imus congradulating the "girls basketball team" for all of their hard work, he has to insult them.

  i am glad he got fired and i hope it sends a message to anybody else that wants to publicly insult a group.

I am glad he got fired and I hope it sends a message to anybody else that wants to publicly insult a group. When I was growing up my parents always told me to treat people the way they treat you. But in this day and age "race" is still the first thing people look at when a person walks in the door. And for people trying to justify his remarks by comparing it to rappers, what about Caucasian people that call other Caucasian people "poor white trash" or "rednecks" does this make it alright for black and hispanics to start calling white people by these "racist slurs" just because white people use them? Rappers are wrong for using words like Don Imus and he is also wrong.

  A former "Bethelite" JW's friend of mine wants to "Disassociate".

  a friend of mine that was at bethel when the "change" came out about the "generation of 1914" in 1995 wants to "disassociate" himself but is terrified that his family especially his mother(who is of the annoited) will totally shun him.

  his whole family are jw's his uncle an elder, his sisters pioneers, etc; any advice i could give him?

  i know what it is like since my mom has been a devout jw's since 1967.

  After reading "Ex-Born Again" websites, they say many things like ex-jws

  i was curious the other day and just wanted to see what born-again christians that left the fold had to say about their former churches and religions.

  it was amazing to see that they say many similar things like ex-jws.

  many of these people were ex-pastors, ex-ministers, ex-missionaries.

I think that JW's and Born-Agains need to stop being at war with one another and realize the damage they are causing so many innocent people especially children.

  Can a person be mad at "Jehovah and Jesus" and not be committing Blasphemy?

  i was always taught as a little child that to be mad at jehovah and jesus was like commiting blaspemy.

  so i held all my anger up until now that i am out of the wts and out of christianity(churches) and i am just furious at jehovah and jesus.

  i think they play many games with people that worship them.

They want "robots" not people with a free will and a mind of their own. They want "Stepford believers".

  with all of the changes regarding the 1935 closing of the heavenly calling that jw's taught for over 70 years what will be the next thing to go in their doctrinal system.

  will they one day say"we were wrong the earth is going to burn up and all christians will go to heaven".

  russell was right after all and yes the "great crowd" will indeed go to heaven.nothing suprises me anymore with the jw's.

Russell was right after all and yes the "Great Crowd" will indeed go to heaven.Nothing suprises me anymore with the JW's. They just make a major change and act as if it is like changing your socks. They are so non-chalant about it.

  i was talking to this jw's elder who i believe has to be the best debater against the "trinity" doctrine that jw's have he brought up several point which i feel needs to be addressed by trinitarians.

  first of all he argured that acts 5:3-4 about lying to the holy spirit in no way makes the holy spirit a person any more that "lying to the truth" in james makes "truth" a person.

  i have never seen that verse before about lying to the truth.

  I totally agree with Sir82. Trinitarians read everything with "Jesus is God" eyes. Their "mental gymnastics" is amazing. Nowhere does James state that "the truth" is Jesus Christ. So to try and wiggle out of "lying to the truth" and make it Jesus is ridiculous. James would have said lying to Jesus. Everytime Trinitarians see a "title" or an act that Jehovah has or does and it is applied to Jesus they right away "shout" Jesus is Jehovah. But when you show them another verse where a title or act is applied to Jehovah and Moses or David or another servant of Jehovah they "back-peddal" and say it does not mean Moses or David is Jehovah. Why is it that Trinitarians can bend and decide the rules of which titles and acts can make Jesus God but not make Moses or others God?

I have never seen that verse before about lying to the truth. Also he brought up the fact that Jehovah said he would take away his "Spirit" from Moses and divide it upon 70 elders. How could Jehovah take away and "divide" the Holy Spirit upon 70 people? You can't divide a person and place it upon another person. The prodical son says that he "sinned" against "heaven" would this make "heaven" a person since you can only "sin" against Jehovah. Is "heaven" a person of the trinity? The bible says that Jesus "rebuked" the ocean. Only a person can be "rebuked". Christians are said to be "baptized into Jesus" and "baptized into his death". But Matthew 28 says we are baptized in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit is a person because we are "baptized" into it then "Death" is also a person because we are baptized into it. When Christians argue that to "grieve" the Holy Spirit makes the Spirit a person do they feel that When the bible says Jehovah's "Heart" is rejoicing does this mean that Jehovah has a human organ and that it is feeling joy? All this the JW's elder was showing how the bible is full of metophores, personifications, figuretive language, etc;

  i know many people might say to question jehovah and jesus about anything is a form of "blasphemy" but do you sometimes think that jehovah and jesus are "controll freaks"?

  i just sometimes think for myself and not what i think jehovah and jesus want me to think and i see a controll issue with both of them.

  first of all it seems that jehovah is always "testing" his people to see if they love him.

  I know many people might say to question Jehovah and Jesus about anything is a form of "blasphemy" but do you sometimes think that Jehovah and Jesus are "controll freaks"? I just sometimes think for myself and not what I think Jehovah and Jesus want me to think and I see a controll issue with both of them. First of all it seems that Jehovah is always "testing" his people to see if they love him. I just don't understand why Jehovah seems to be so "insecure". If a human father was constantly testing his children to see if they would be loyal than I would definitely ask him how secure in himself is he? But all through the bible especially the Old Testaments Jehovah is constantly setting up tests or allowing test to be performed on his worshippers. Job, Abraham(was about to sacrafice Isaac) are a few that come to mind. I think that Jehovah's Witnesses and Born Agains need to look at the source of the problem which I think is the Bible itself. I am in no-way promoting Athestism but I do believe some of what Athests point out about contradiction in the bible are true. I will always believe in Jehovah and Jesus but I think there are some problems with Christianity as a whole.

  I am baffled as to why I Urinate so often and I am not a "Diabetic"?

  i am really scared to go to the doctor but i am going after 5 years of constantly getting up to go to the bathroom especially at night.

  in the daytime i hardly ever have to use the bathroom.

  i have been tested for diabetis for many years and each time the doctor tells me "you are not a diabetic booker-t" i am terrified now because a good friend of mine who is in his early 40's as i am just found out he has prostate cancer.

  I am really scared to go to the doctor but I am going after 5 years of constantly getting up to go to the bathroom especially at night. In the daytime I hardly ever have to use the bathroom. I have been tested for Diabetis for many years and each time the doctor tells me "You are not a Diabetic booker-T" I am terrified now because a good friend of mine who is in his early 40's as I am just found out he has Prostate Cancer. As I was reading some of the symptoms I was horrified to see that frequent Urination is one of the signs. I am so scared but no one in my family has ever had Prostate Cancer that I know of. Also some of the symptoms of Prostate Cancer don't fit me. Such as people with Prostate Cancer will try to Urinate but nothing comes out. Everytime I run to the bathroom alot comes out. Another symptom I don't have blood in my Urine. Also there is no burning when I Urinate. I am so sorry Ladies for being graphic but I am hoping maybe a doctor or nurse out there can relieve my fears. Somebody told me that Kidney problems can make you Urinate excessively. Please Help

  i really believe that jw's will come up with a new doctrine of the "great crowd-a" (people going to heaven to help the 144,000) and a "great crowd -b" people staying on earth after armaggeddon.

  It is just getting like a rollercoaster ride with the Changes going on at the WT society. But it just don't surprise me as much as it used to. I really believe that JW's will come up with a new doctrine of the "Great Crowd-A" (people going to heaven to help the 144,000) and a "Great Crowd -B" people staying on earth after Armaggeddon. They change doctrines like a ping-pong game and expect all JW's to just accept it with no questions asked. I know that many JW's will be upset but will suffer in silence because of fear of Disfellowshipping for questioning doctrine.
