  I, ROBOT

  i took the wife and kids to see i, robot with will smith last night....great movie.

  my son is a real issac asimov fan.

  he said asimov would have hated the movie, but that he really enjoyed it.. come to think of it, i'd be hard pressed to name a will smith movie i don't like.

  There were 25 minutes worth of previews before the start of the movie (I timed it). Is that normal now days...I've been used to 10 or 15 minutes...but if a movie is advertized to start at 7PM and it's 7:25 before "FEATURE PRESENTATION" appears on the screen...somethings wrong...I'm gonna complain to the company

  Complain to the theater and/or its parent company. The policies on preview vary. Some do the 25 minutes of trailers before the 7 pm start. and some start the trailers at 7 pm & the movie at 7:25. It's aggrivating to not have a consistent approach at all theaters.

  Where did you draw the line?

  with the promise that a few of those who saw 1914 would also see the end of this system of things, where did you draw the line, and say the 1914 generation has passed?.

  naturally some born in 1914 are still alive, but not many.

  does this mean that the 1914 generation as taught by the witnesses is still plausible?

  Yep. And my Dad was born in 1918, so he figured that Armageddon would come before he died. Hw was wrong about that. Fifteen years later, it still hasn't happened. So, it's not like I'm holding my breath or anything.

  My wife and I ...

  ...are seperating, and darn it feels so weird.

  one day i'm like "yeah, ok, sounds like this could be for the best" and the next day i'm feelin like :( i'm all packed up and ready to go on the 28th of this month, have arranged a new place to live not too far away from my boys, cant imagine life without them running around causing havoc everyday...but my wife and i are still handling things well and arranging weekly visits for them so i guess i have to look on the bright side.

  wont share anymore except to say there is no 3rd person involved or anything like that .

  this my friends is to me the tournament of the year for golf!

  not only is it the toughest but i believe troon is possibly the hardest as it is seaside course and the bunkers and rough are impossible.. having played at the two municipal courses beside it i can give witness to the difficulty of this regions golf landscape.

  what i love most is watching those who are so acustome to the pleather courses that they play in the us, the americans who do well are the true golfers.

  Home Alone

  here i am home alone........ my hubby works out of town from time to time...it never fails, how even though i am dead tired..i get in bed and think i "hear" something or "see" something....geez...you would think i was 10...scared to death...lol.

  i guess i just don't like being in an empty house...does anyone here really like being alone at night???.

  CB ... I actually prefer sleeping alone. Well, the sleeping part, anyway ... know what I mean? I get the whole bed to myself, can have the TV on until God-awful hours & fall asleep watching Fox News or History ... and there are no disagreements about the thermostat, no elbows in my ribs because I'm snoring, and no comments about "Jesus Pete, Dan! What did you EAT!?!?"

  I got myself snipped.

  i wasn't sure where to post this, but since it has to do with family planning in a permanent sort of way, i am posting here.

  i have stated on two previous threads, that were about the choice to have or not have children, that i was planning on getting a vasectomy.

  about a month ago i went to see the urologist and i got scheduled for the procedure which i went in for on last friday.

  Reversals are not always a success, but they can be done.

  One of my brothers had his V reversed after marrying wife #2. (She wanted kids, and although he already had 3 kids from his first marriage, he opted for the reversal). He did say that the recovery from the reversal was MUCH more uncomfortable than the initial procedure.

  I do not intend to have mine reversed. I really love my kids, but I don't want any more of them.

  Interesting stuff. Have any of you read The Gnostic Gospels? I read it about 20 years ago, after I had already been out of the borg for a year or two. They books paint a very different picture of Jesus than Matthew, Mark, Luke & John did.
