Ignorant uneducated people always have this propensity to intensely fear a superior power and feel inferior and dependant upon it. Interestingly all cultures from the dawn of history and up to recent times believed in superior superhuman beings and had priests to get in touch with them and appease them.

what proves jw's aren't true?
by jwfacts ini am inactive and it took years of doubt to convince myself the jw's arent true.
i started doubting because i hated the idea that jehovah would kill 6 billion non-jw's.
the thing now that is the most important proof for me is that until 1954 jw's worshipped jesus and it is still in the watchtower charter, even though you now get disfellowshipped for worshipping jesus.

Some complain that the "apostates" do not give the WTS credit for the work they did in promoting freedom of speech in the USA, this is true but at the same time they have totally suppressed freedom of speech among the rank and file, and this is where I found serious fault in them. Why do they fear free debate so much if their position is as powerful as they claim?

On a whim, stopped by the library for books on Jerusalems destruction
by ithinkisee inso i was driving by the library on my way home today and remembered i do have a library card and decided to go in and do my own research on 607 bce.
i figured i might find a book or two in our little old library.
i did a search on the library's computers for "jerusalem history" and got a handful of books ... i wrote down the dewey decimal number (or whatever it is) of one of them (they are all in the same general section) and headed to the reference wing of the library.

Is he trying to subtly deter people on this board from criticising the borg? He is not telling us what exactly he finds to be kind of mean, or wrong criticism and why they don't deserve to get exposed so as not be left in peace to make new victims.

It's tough not to FREAK OUT at dubs
by GetBusyLiving inman i didn't realize how tough it is to not to lose your mind and get dogmatic while talking with jay-dubs a while ago.
just hearing those stupid answers, seeing the blank looks, and being called an apostate whenever they are cornered is soooo frustrating!!

They can't accept that they are wrong because they have invested so much in this org and can't tolerate the idea that all this is for nothing.
