I can't see what difference this makes, they have always believed that there will be some of the so called anointed on earth at the end of times and they have also stated that the 144 000 positions weren't filled by 1935 as previously thought.
They are seeking to buy more time, the 1914 generation became indefinitely long by becoming symbolic and to match that the anointed ranks are to be filled at an indefinite future time and not by 1935 plus a few decades.
Needless to say the 144 000 number is symbolic as are those making it up (male, virginal, Jews from all tribes).

by greendawn infor a tourist that intends to visit the usa and engage in travelling around and sightseeing, what places in that country would you advise will be a waste of time to visit?

Thanks everyone for the replies there are many useful tips and suggestions and it will take a good map (also Google earth) and a good analysis to get the most out of them.
Flat lands are boring for most people unless they contain interesting cities eg in Northern Italy there are many beautiful renaissance cities and their cultural treasures in an otherwise unintersting landscape. I suppose flat land meant good agricultural potential which was the main source of wealth in the past.
I realise that the USA is an enormous country that's why I want to avoid wasting time to unintersting places. I plan to be there before the peak tourist period (can't stand big crowds and congestion) of July and August, over six weeks from Mid May to end of June. So I can only see so much and will choose carefully. I usually move at a relaxed pace and never rush hectically to see as much as possible during the trip.
I like beautiful natural scenery of any kind mountains, coastlands, lakes etc but also anything to do with culture and important historical developments. Also to examine the local cuisine, folklore and general customs. -

Possible good news for Spelling perfectionists.
by misanthropic inwell for the posters using mac anyway.
has anyone else with a mac updated to the new mac os x leopard?
i'm loving it since my spelling is sometimes atrocious- see i'd have misspelled that already otherwise ;-).

Yes Firefox does have a spelling checker, it is one of the many extra addons they offer and has to be downloaded for the browser to acquire this function. In fact they have spell checkers for quite a few languages. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:3
Opera also has a spell checker function but adding it is more fiddly than a mere download. -

MY LETTER TO SOCIAL SECURITY
by badboy ini have written to social security, telling them that i don't like their orm which threatens one with suspection of benefits if i fail to return the schedule forms on time.. i explained to them in my letter that instead of sending these forms, they should give me some help to achieve my goals, that would be more helpful.. .

What exactly are the goals you are refering to? It's hard to go against red tape and bureaucracy. Why don't you just complete and return the required forms in time?

They do not follow the Bible in fact they follow the WTS and more specifically its erroneous and distorted opinions of what the Bible says. Only total morons would take seriously what they have to say especially in matters of life and death, as on the blood transfusion issue, given their abysmal record of erroneous interpretations over the past 120 years.
The question is: did they ever get anything right? Why does everything they formulate eventually become old light? -

We know what kind of disgusting spin they will put on it: "don't get too anguished about it she will soon be with us at the resurrection, the new system is not far from us"
The implication is that if she had given in and taken blood she would be lost for ever (according to the GB morons) so that her JW family must be pleased to have lost her only temporarily.
Such is the WTS manipulation based on their heretical beliefs. In fact 1) No one dies for ever in this system all will be resurrected in the future, apparently to be given a second chance and 2) apart from the saints the rest of the world will be resurrected long after the kingdom of God begins to rule. -

computer help
by bigdreaux incan anyone tell me what the best program to remove these annoying virisus off my computer is?
i can barely use it now without getting pissed off.

Every PC that is connected with the internet should have a firewall, antiviral and antispyware protection.
AVG is one of the better free antiviral programs but I prefer avast. For combating spyware there is ad-aware and spybot search. For firewall I use Comodo.
I also use Opera or Firefox as browsers with the internal pop up blocker enabled. -

It's a vast financial empire, the fact that they allied themselves with Jim Swaggart to evade taxes reveals their true nature and aspirations. According to them Swaggart is a man of false satanic religion. We will never know the true extend of their assets unless an insider reveals them. Likewise we will not know who really gets all that profit. The shareholders perhaps?

JWs aren't the only ones who have to deal with crazy religious beliefs

Surely the JWs are not the worst cult out there, they are average on the scale of cultic perversion which means there are much worse ones operating in the world eg the scientologists. As for the Jews I don't know how they can carry the Mosaic laws on divorce in the modern world ending a marriage with a woman so easily.
