Let's hope they will fail to do it just as they failed to use the internet for preaching the R&F were strongly discouraged from doing so but then I suppose that was because it would reduce the sales of their publications. JWs preaching their false gospel without selling the usual mags and books.

Has the mass exodus begun?
by kool aid man06 init's truly exciting to see all of the "rapid fire" changes taking place in the watchtower org.
buildings are being sold, kingdomhalls are "compressing", bethelites are being sent home, watchtower format changing to public issues and private issues, more and more judicial committee meetings being held for apostasy.
(the watchtower is dead it just hasn't fallen over yet!

Only time will show if they have already begun to lose control to the point that they will start falling apart. As yet their way of controlling the JW masses seems to be effective in fact I was surprised that the generation change 13 years ago did not do it since it was so central to JW aspirations and ideals. The org lost its greatest enticement (the imminent paradise) without much damage.

It's the usual deviousness again the reasons given have nothing to do with the real reasons which they serve to hide. It's the usual lying and dishonesty (why can't they be straight for once when dealing with the R&F and stop treating them like naive and dumb little children) but how nice of them to be so sensitive and worry about the little money dubs have to pay for attending book studies.

I am fed up with "Where else would I/We Go?"
by OnTheWayOut init is a standard answer that i get from the few jw's that i speak with.. "the organization has it's flaws, but where else would we go to be among.
people who strive to do [jehovah's/god's] will?".
"i don't understand all the doctrine, nor take it as seriously as you do, but .

Even if there is nowhere else to go it doesn't mean that one should stay with the JWs if they are a substandard harmful cult. After all according to them there was nowhere to go from the days of Constantine (great apostasy) until they appeared 1600 years later. How did people get by in that very long period of time?

Sex in the new order?
by keyser soze inoften times, at work, my mind will wander.
just the other day, out of the blue, i began to recall a trip my family took down south, to visit my mom's relatives.
i don't remember what instigated it, but my aunt, my dad, and my oldest brother got into a spirited debate about whether or not people would still have sex in the new order.. my dad, after rather awkwardly pointing out how much he enjoyed sex, said he didn't think it would be done away with completely, at least he hoped not.

There will be no paradise in the way that the JWs perceive it, it is just a fairy tale to draw in members, a marketing ploy. There is no such thing as an eternal earthly destiny. In fact the approved christians will own both the earthly and the heavenly things as Paul tells us.

Don't go back, adjusting to a new life can be stressful but you will get over it. Your child deserves better than to grow up in a cultic environment.

I was "disinvited " to my younger brothers babies shower
by sosad inbecause one of the jw invitees heard i was coming and was now part of babylon the great.
just to clarify - i am part of nothing in the religious sense- my kids and husband are very catholic but i am not.. i was invited and trying to get the address after making considerable efforts to attend due to plain old busy life.. it seems "new light" says i, a fader of over 20 years is not welcome to a gathering where jws are present.
but - not just jws - there would be many other religious denominations present in the form of aunts, grandmothers, parents etc.

It's plain old vindictive attitude they can't stand anyone that abandons or criticises their religion and they have this superiority complex that they are the best and only true religion on earth. It's cultic control at its best yet they were conditioned to believe that it is something biblical.

"The FDS under the loving direction of jehovah has made another change for the benefit of the sheep." What else would the brain dead jw drones think except that everything the FDS does is god inspired or directed, as the case may be, and for the benefit of jehovah's people. It's unthinkable that it would be otherwise.

It's like some kind of obsession I can't understand why there was so much ado about the change in a minor dub arrangement. If they announce something like the stopping of the door to door preaching or that everyone should partake of the bread and wine then that will be some news indicating a possible deep change in the old cult.
