So there we are people are gladly giving some blood without any harm to themselves so why did the JWs kick up such a fuss about accepting blood as being something evil as if people were getting killed or tortured in giving blood. Idiots!

It looks as though someone is taking good care of all these religious organisations they are all very rich.
They can talk about pursuing the heavenly kingdom first and then material wealth, the real problem is that they don't use their wealth to promote spiritual interests.
I am sure the WTS is just as rich and materialistic. -

Elders will not marry couple
by Nosferatu inmy mother has a friend in another congregation.
she has been dating, and is wanting to marry.
here's where the "problem" comes in.... the guy is 20, she is 33. the elders have decided that they should interfere.

I can't get it, on what do these elders base their objection? Is there a rule against marrying with a substantially older woman? If not why do they meddle in other people's lives?

The above is too hypothetical for me because God would never unleash a big A without first bringing a true organisation to help people be in the real truth.
The JWs are just clowns and impostors and certainly not fitted to warn people about anything. Can God judge the world through these criminals that break up families and drive people to depression and suicide? this has to be joke. So the big A is not yet due.
But otherwise I would say to him: I hope this is not final. -

JWs not shunning you after you left the org?
by greendawn inafter you got disfellowshipped or disassociated yourself were there any jws relatives or not that refused to accept the shunning policy and at least secretly (or perhaps openly) kept up contact with you?

My sister and her family never shunned me after I disassociated the only restriction is that I shouldn't be at their house when an elder happens to be there.
Another person who had disassociated (while I was a JW) and later returned to the JWs once invited me to his house for dinner. He said that he was happy to go back and that I should do the same: "what pleasure can you possibly find in that miserable world, I came back and found peace" he told me.
Another came to the supermarket where I worked as a manager and asked me if we could use the machines there to slice a lot of ham and salamis for his engagement party and I said why not. -

Do JWs ever use their donations/WT profits to help the less-fortunate?
by sonnyboy ini was a jw for a number of years as a kid, but i don't remember them doing anything to help the community.
many churches in my area have soup kitchens, clothing/toy drives, and other services to help people in need.
do jehovah's witnesses ever use proceeds in this way, or are they all used to make more watchtowers, books, and kingdom halls?

And the point is that the big A is not coming soon and they know it. We also know that the WTS will never survive it should it come, because it is a criminal org that ruined many lives and families with false pretenses.

A tragic loss of life
by Gill inmy mother was formerly a roman catholic in a roman catholic country.. she tells me sometimes about a cousin of hers who died after being in labour for nearly a week.
no hospitals to go to in those days to have babies.
anyway, the baby was still alive even though mum had just died and the doctor wanted to perform an emergency caesarian section to save the child, along with the childs father who agreed.

I think the JW leaders know that the ban on blood transfusions is wrong but they don't know how to get out of it as this is a very explosive situation people lost children and spouses for no reason. They fear an uproar and litigations so they chose to remove the ban step by step to minimise the reaction.
Meanwhile JWs continue to die by refusing whole blood even as the ban is little by little eased. -

Just a question
by brittani ini am not a jevoha's witness...and i have some questions for you.. 1. wasn't jesus set to return in 1874 according to your history?.
2. if you believe the bible, the bible says that jesus came for the salvation of all men, not just 144000 of them.. 3. if only 144,000 people are allowed to go to heaven with god, then why did god send jesus to earth?
god's eternal life is a gift, not something you have to work for.. please reply

Welcome Britanni virtually all people here are ex JWs who don't espouse the watchtower teachings and consider your above objections valid.
Jesus's sacrifice covers all humans equally and he is the mediator of all. The JWs overemphasize the need for works to the point where one gets the impression that they are labouring under the Mosaic law and the number 144000 is certainly not literal as it comes from a totally symbolic context: 144000 virginal, male, Jews. If taken totally literally it would mean that only celibate Jewish men would be part of that number.
As for the end of times dates they never got anything at all right. -

We got new light and didn't even notice it
by observador inis it not shocking to identify the ruling political powers with a wild beast?
moreover, why should anyone object to the bibles saying that it is satan who gives the wild beast its great authority?
god is the source of that statement, and before him the nations are as a drop from a bucket and as a film of dust.

The idea that human political rulers are no where near totally evil has always been obvious enough, politics is a neutral thing like so many other it depends what you make of it.Some politicians are honest some are corrupt. Governments provide constitutions that guarantee human rights, police forces for law and order, and so much else. Israel's kings and judges were politicians.
Why did it take so long for them to realise this? It didn't, they always knew it but "the new light had to come at its due time" which means at the time that suits them. The same as happened with so many other issues. Are they trying now to diminish the JWs sense of isolation from the world?
