It's not a case of the Africans being less intelligent, it is rather their culture with its extensive corruption that keeps them backwards. Otherwise they are just as intelligent as any other race, at the university I studied I recall there were many outstanding African students.

Wow! Nobel Winner Says Blacks Less Intelligent
by Justitia Themis inhttp://www.cnn.com/2007/tech/science/10/18/science.race/index.html.
a british museum has canceled a lecture by dr. james watson, co-discoverer of the dna double helix, after he claimed black people are less intelligent than whites in a recent newspaper interview.. watson, who won the 1962 nobel prize for his part in discovering the structure of dna, provoked a storm of criticism after his comments were published in the sunday times.. the eminent biologist told the british newspaper he was "inherently gloomy about the prospect of africa" because "all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours -- whereas all the testing says not really.".
watson, 79, had been due to give a lecture at london's science museum on friday but the museum canceled his appearance, saying his comments had "gone beyond the point of acceptable debate.".

For those who have traveled outside of the US...your favorite destination!
by restrangled inmine is garmisch germany....spotless and dog friendly, in the heart of the alps, just on the border of austria, driving distance to anywhere in italy....an absolute dream.
the town is small, (near where sound of music was filmed) beautiful shops including, chocolate, designer fashions, local specialties and the best food you have ever tasted from every part of the world.. it is a professional skier's destination, and at the same time, cows are driven through in the morning and evening with most traffic coming to a halt to allow the same.. driving in form munich, about an hour, you climb mountains and then suddenly come into beautiful fields with the mountains rising above you.
absolutely breathtaking.

I have travelled to many countries but only in Europe. There are lots of nice places but Corsica to me is the most outstanding of all. The whole island is beautiful except the narrow plain along the eastern sea coast which is nothing special. The population is small (at 260 000) for its size and most of them live in coastal cities, towns and villages. The interior is sparsely populated and uncongested.
No wonder the ancient Greeks named the island Kallisti which means "the most beautiful".

Jesus became King of God's Kingdom in 1914.
by TooBad TooSad inwhen i think back on the last 45 years of my life as a jw, it truly is remarkable.
how i as an intelligent person could have believed all of the things that the wtbts.
taught as doctrine and then for myself to teach others the same doctrine.. we could all give examples of this, however i was just sitting here drinking my coffee.

There were a lot of things happening in the invisible world around 1914 - 1920 that only the JWs were aware of. How convenient for them that these events were not verifiable by humans, that must be one of the oldest tricks in the book and only total morons would fall for them. They intended to make people believe in something totally unverifiable.
The passage of time has confirmed that nothing unusual happened during those years. The world carries on much as it always did.

There is an unmistakable ambience of reality about his posts, it would be surprising if he was not real.

How do you react.....
by restrangled inwhen you see someone needing help in a public place?
i usually avoid eye contact, but then feel guilty all day.
for instance when you pull up to a light and people are standing there with a sign or actually walk up to your window...i won't ever roll down a window.. today i pulled into the local grocery store parking lot, and there standing with a walker, was a middle aged latino man with his lower legs in some sort of braces.

I once had a lot of extra clothes and donated them to a large family with many children that obviously needed them. Some people truly need help some pretend that they do to live without working.

A freaky incident just happened
by Junction-Guy inwell i was sitting here about 1 hour ago, surfing the net, and the doorbell rang.
that in itself is freaky enough, considering it was early in the morning, and as we have had alot of car burlaries here at the apartment complex, and i thought that maybe my car was hit and someone was here to tell me about it.. .
i asked who it was and he said "it's your neighbor", so i reluctantly opened the door ever so slowly and there was this young white guy in his 20's.

It sounds like some kind of con artist with a scheme to get you out of the house and then an accomplice would break in while you wear away trying to help them fix their tyre. Quite ruthless and cynical really, exploiting someone's kindness.

Not bad for an 85 year old let's not forget that relatively few people make it to that age but his spirit seems to be quite intact.

False Prophets- Did the WT ever claim to be a Prophet?? Scans say YES!!
by Lady Liberty indoing more digging and thought i would post this for any new ones.
first of all i would like to show you what the bible says about "flase prophets": deuteronomy 18:20. .
20 "however, the prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that i have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die.
-

They certainly said it but with them, they can have things both ways when it's in their interests to say they are prophets they say it and when not they deny it. Their yes is not a yes and their no is not a no.

Apology for raising children in the Truth
by jeanne40love inwould you apologize in writing to your children for raising them in the truth?
i've apologized verbally........ none of them is going to meetings any longer...... my husband and i have been drifting away for several years..... .
i was raised a witness, and thought we were doing the right thing.

I can't see why a verbal apology on such an issue between parents and children wouldn't be enough, in fact the parents aren't even aware how harmful this cult can be for children growing up (as well as adults). Otherwise they wouldn't be in it in the first place. They got duped.
