  Love.

  Not in any smarmy sense, just love, familial, sexual, passionate, brotherly, etc. Any kind. Enjoying life is hinged on people. Most of us need people to be emotionally healthy. I thought that while I was in, and now that I'm out I still think that love is the only thing that matters, that someone could love me....more important than experience and leisure...(even beer!)

  Religion vs. Spirituality

  has anyone else noticed that we get a lot of "who has the truth" and "what is the true religion" type messages?

  but you never hear anyone ask something like "how do i develop authentic spirituality?

  " granted, the word spiritual is abstract and vague, but there is the matter of the individual aspect of the word spirituality.

  Powdered toast man is clairvoyant...spirituality is like a deep love, and is part of it. I've thought alot about spirituality, in the christian sense, especially, since that is familiar to me, but also the spirituality of the wind moving through the trees, making the branches rattle like bones....I've always found God in nature.

  Did Jesus Teach Parents Should be Honored?

  matthew says that jesus tells his disciples to "honor your father and mother" (matt 19:19), but luke thinks that jesus requires his followers to hate their parents, "whoever comes to me and does not hate father and mother...cannot be my disciple.

  " (luke 14.26) .

  couldn't god find a way for one to be a disciple of jesus without having to hate one's parents?

  it seems to me this site is full of anti jehovah's witness members.its easy to point out weaknesses of others or the organization they represent.jehovah's witnesses do often with other religions.if you all have decided that jehovah's witnesses are bad people or that the organization is false,then which one is the true religion?which religion teaches the correct doctrines?which religion represents gods truth?this question is for anyone.i'm asking this question with sincerity.

  UN involvement announced at Assembly?

  i heard from someone that the wts was going to or had already announced something about the un involvement at an assembly.

  anyone else heard of this or is it a local thing ?.

  i would guess they may have only done this because of the coverage in the uk national newspaper which they know they have to counter.

  let's assume that there are about 9,000,000 armageddon survivors (baptised jw's and their children), after just 30 years every survivor will be sexually mature and with increased vigour and health.. .

  chemical contraception, condoms, i.u.d's etc will all be long gone so any married couple with a normal sex-drive will be producing children at an average rate of about 1 per year.. .

  world population at the beginning of the 20th century was less than 1.5 billion.
