do you have the impression that the elders never liked you, and were happy to see you leave, because they simply didn't like your way of thinking?
maybe if you came back, they would do everything to get you disfellowshipped again.

i recall several instances when a "stranger" walked into the hall in the middle of the meeting.
it never failed... everyone in the hall would turn around and look at the person with shock and bewilderment.
a sense of unease would pass across the entire audience.. all available elders would then run to meet the person and "interrogate" him to make sure he wasn't there to crash the meeting.. ahhh yes... can't you feel the love?.
My family moved every six months for about 10 years...we became used to that "shocked and bewildment" look directed at us.
here it is, late in the day, christmas is almost over this year.
i hope everyone enjoyed theirs as much as i have enjoyed mine.
i went to my oldest daughters to spend the day with them.
any of you fine people get a webcam for xmas?
wanna try it out?
several of us play around on them, gives a whole new meaning to "a bad hair day".. anyone wanna get a small cam-meeting going tonite?.
I got one...I got one!!! Not sure if it will be hooked up tonight and if it is
I probably won't be ready
...cuz I'm wearing my new jammies all day today and maybe all week!!!
what was under your tree this morning?.
it's snowing here in tn.
which is what i wanted!!!.
I got a red leather jacket and an expresso machine....Life is Good!!
i got a rare day off work.. luckily enough, i'm sitting here listening to music i've stolen online (iow: downloaded).
one of those songs is natalie cole's rendition of her father's earlier take of "let there be love.".
beside the music part of it, i marvel at the gifts that parents are able to leave their children.
I think she sings great..but her dad is Awesome!!!
.
i'm just not interested in celebriating christmas.maybe the witnesses had that one right.. if i had children i would probably give presents , just so they don't feel left out , thought not having them myself did me no harm , maybe it made me stronger.but christmas is just one big fake pushed by big businessess, i am not their pawn to be played with.. ok you can have a good laught a few drinks and all that but all the while we are being taken advantage of by the comercial world .imagine the money they would lose if their was no christmas.. can't wait for that big turkey tomorrow though.
It depends on how you look at it.I had been struggling with guilt feelings about if it is wrong to celebrate. With the help of the posters here I now realise there is nothing wrong with enjoying being with friends and having a good time....gifts or no gifts. I choose to think of it as time to get together with loved ones and to express our appreciation for eachother.Feeling intense love cannot be a bad thing.
i just wanted to take the opportunity to wish all of you a very merry christmas and happy holidays.
i've really enjoyed all of your posts throughout the past year.
whether we are aware of it or not, this forum and the contributions to it has helped and is helping hundreds of good people who have been injured by an evil watchtower society.
drahcir...I second that!! Thanks to all of you and Simon, I can now enjoy Christmas and the Holidays guilt free.Life is good!! Thank you ,Thank you ,Thank you!!
HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!
