  Did something happen this week? (site traffic)

  i forgot who made the post about that site 'exploding' with the traffic because of the silentlambs march.. well, the site didn't explode but the traffic certainly went up!

  last week we had 55,000 visits making it the busiest week ever so far.

  no doubt monday will be busy 'cause a lot of people view the site from work (you naughty people, lol) and they'll want to see all the pics and stuff.. thanks to everyone who's visited and posted for keeping things buzzin'

  this is what has been happening with us lately.

  we (my husband and i) have not been to any meetings in over a year.

  the elders have stopped by quite often (once they stopped by and they were here from 10:30 12:00, they left the others in their car group, out in the car the whole time!!

  Please listen to metatrons advice. Don't let them get away with DAing you. Just slip away. Tell them there is no spiritual emergency at your home. That your just taking a "breather". Especially if you have family in the cult.

  Tell the "elders" and everyone else from the congregation to CALL first, (before being so damn inconsiderate in just dropping by) and ask your PERMISSION to come over. Then you can continually have the upper hand and ALWAYS tell them a resounding NO.

  You should avoid movies that inflame your passions. You are a sinful, weak vessel. Violent movies may inflame you to anger and even murder. Erotic movies may inflame you to adultery and rape. You must watch yourself at all times.

  on 12th october, bill bowen went to the german branch office in selters/ts.

  he came not further than the gate, where he was allowed to contact werner rudtke, member of the branch committee, via telephone.

  after some minutes, rudtke excused for his "bad english" and connected to hans obermeier, another bethel member.

  I AM A NEWBIE, NEED HELP

  i have been lurking around here for some time,,, i personally know laurie fitzwater and what she has gone through we lived in bradenton.

  florida in the late 80's .... she is the one telling me to come here for help ,,, a hug ,,, i have a nightmare of a story which involves married to a professed annointed one who made me and my childrens life pure hell on earth....i guess he needed to be replaced as he was df twice and was never a ms or elder..... go figure i suffer from severe depression and post-traumatic stress and have tried to end it all numerous times... but the turning point for me was this demon--inspired internet and all the truth it contains i also read george orwells.. 1984 --big brother is watching ,,,, doublespeak;;;; its us versus them just to name a few of my eye---opening events i have 5 children,,, and only one my baby (16) in the borg....... i really cant go on ,,, i have emailed lady lee and she helped me alot .... but i have to be careful...... there are spies everywhere....i still attend meetings.

  to some extent... missed the assembly this weekend tho.. so please be gentle and reasure me.... i am baby--stepping,,, i am doing the work.............

  The extent of JW preaching world wide

  i have a feeling that tens of years ago jw's had the idea that matt.

  24:14 preaching work was understood to cover literally places like china, india etc.

  todays trend and figures do not really support this interpretation and i wonder what is the "present truth" about the expected extent of preaching work?

  There is also Jesus prediction that "this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14) Today, Jehovahs Witnesses carry out their work in 233 lands, island groups, and territories

  Although the above statistics may be true. I can't help but think how they as a "worldwide group" are still so insignificant.Why do I say that, one might ask? Inasmuch as the rank and file of JWS have these stats paraded at them often, from sources such as the WTBS publications, as well as at the assemblies and public meetings, isn't it safe to say the average person just has no clue as to what JWS believe. So as a consequence have not put this bad bad world on notice as the shallow minded R/F have been taught to think.

  One of the best modern day, up to the minute examples I can think of regarding this (and in no way do I mean to diminish the importance of the issue) is the Dateline piece, as well as countless newpaper articles reagrding the pedophilia and the all important work that SL is doing to regarding this disgraceful conduct.

  Isn't it true that almost everytime that "The Jehovah's Witnesses" are brought up by these media outlets. That what JWS believe are in many cases part of the news piece, and the audience has to be told how, and what, they believe. Due to the fact that they are so miniscule and nobody really knows who they are, and in the minds of many must seem like kooks. My point being that they in the eyes of the world even now are just a small insignificant cult.
