I still have my personal copy from when I was active in the JWs. True it is very subjective as far as their history is concerned, however, it does have some interesting recollections from long time JWs which unwitingly reveals the dark side of the Watch Tower movement.

I located a 1975 W.T. year book.....A question for you?
by hubert ini found a 1975 yearbook at a used book store, but i didn't buy it, as it's kind of pricey.
however, if there is anything good in it that i can use for my research on the watchtower, i would buy it in a minute.
does anyone know if there is anything different or new that was said in it to make it worth my while to buy for my research?

Do We Really Have Free Will?
by frankiespeakin ini personally don't think so.
the reason why i say this is because we don't know where our conscious thoughts come from.
what i mean is,,that before a thought comes into our consciousness where was it and why did it come into the conscious?

Yes, but sometimes it can be costly.

Holocaust denier deported
by Kenneson inernst zundel is in trouble again.
see "kicked out of canada, white supremacist zundel served with charges in germany.
" it's a crime to deny the holocaust and incite hatred in germany; zundel is back in jail.

Interesting reply tailesin. True we may disagree with someone's opinion, still they have the right to express themselves peacefully. We certainly don't want to become like the Watchtower and punish people for thought crime.

Are you still "hurt" from your JW experience?
by JH in.
i was just wondering if you still feel hurt or some kind of interior pain from your jw days or is it all passed and you have no more feelings towards this organization.... i still feel "hurt" and let down... .
afterall, they were friends, and now they just don't care anymore.

When I left the JWs over 20 years ago I did so voluntarily and also knowing the consequences. This made it easier for me to move on. Later most of my family also left the JWs. So I have been more fortunate than other exJWs whose family members shun them. However, I am interested in what is going on in Watch Tower land because of the remaining family members still involved in the JW cult.

Do you have a better career now that you're out?
by wanderlustguy injust dawned on me that i couldn't do my job if not for leaving.
i'm a director of marketing for a telecom company and travel the country constantly, different city and state every three months or so.
part of the job is "having" to take people out for drinks and dinner, etc all the time.

A Biography of Charles Taze Russell
by Kenneson inin 1959, page 63, the divine plan of the ages denied that the watchtower society ever published a biography of charles taze russell.
the writer certainly was not very knowledgeable.
had he checked early watchtower magazines, he would have located russell's biography in the dec. 1, 1916 number.

It is interesting that page 63 of the book Jehovah's Witnesses in the Divine Purpose states that they never published a biography of Pastor Russell. However, in the same book on pages 16-17 it says: "Here's something from the opening paragraphs of his [Russell's] biography as published in the Foreward of a later edition of his popular book, The Divine Plan of the Ages." Then it goes on to quote from the very Watch Tower published Russell biography that less than 50 pages later they deny ever printing.
