Our KH also had 3 sections of seating. Since I was the TMO I sat in the front row of the section to the speaker's left. I guess that made me a left-wing elder.

our hall has 3 sections of seating, we always sat in the left section all the way in the back if possible heh.
it's funny: it seemed like all the foreign people, immigrants, etc, sat on the right side, all the "goody goods" sat in the middle, and all of the um "shady" people... all the people i would think would become defectors sat on the left.
hehe.

my valentine hugs go to (((((((vivamus)))))), my pierced, blue tongued, dutch princess!!
my best valentines wishes go to all that make this board worthwhile, to name just a few: .
Happy Valentine's Day to all.
Sorry, Bay, not going to Glastonbury this year. Was there in October 1998. Visited the Tor, the monastary, etc. Attended services at the local Church of England parrish, St. John's I believe. Brought back some water from the well. Had a great time, hope to get back there some day. I am always interested in anything associated with King Arthur.

i was just wondering if anyone here still go to the meetings.
if so why do you attened?
eddited to add are you married to an active jw .
I attended a couple of meetings in another state last year. Had a flag pin in my lapel so the JWs would know that I wasn't one of them. The sisters love bombed my companion and the elders tried to sell me on their religion. It was fun knowing that they were counting time that accomplished them nothing.
I have been thinking of attending Memorial so I can break the matzo and drink some of the wine while at the same time boosting the number of partakers.

since it's now the worldly, pagan celebration day known as "valentine's day", i was wondering, did you send or receive any valentine's cards?
do you feel "guilty" about it?
mrs ozzie loved hers!
I sent a Valentines Day Card to a very special lady. I hope that the postal service is on the ball and she receives it on Valentines Day.

.
with the latest terrorist alert, did you listen to the advice of making certain provisions in case we run out of anything?
Haven't really given it much thought. But I don't think that duct tape and a few tins of food will do you that much good.

i looked off into the distance, as far as the eye could see,.
i saw a vision of a woman and all the love that could be.. o' the distance i traveled, this man from the west,.
to meet one so beautiful, thou daughter of the east.. you came to me in the evening, among the trees we met,.
I looked off into the distance, as far as the eye could see,
I saw a vision of a woman and all the love that could be.
O' the distance I traveled, this man from the west,
To meet one so beautiful, thou daughter of the east.
You came to me in the evening, among the trees we met,
We stood together watching, waiting until the sun was set.
Our culture is different, so the wise one will say,
But you took my hand, united we found the way.
Together we shared the moment, we shared the night,
Was it wrong for us to be consumed with such delight?
We asked not for tomorrow, for this we must decline,
But at least that night I was yours and you were mine.
Athanasius
hey guys,.
i'm sure this one has been done before, but what was your first "sin" after leaving jw.. i'm not necessarily talking about sleeping with a transvestite - or maybe that was it, :-).
the other day i was a movie theater and if i wanted to - i could have seen a rated r movie - (like the old george bush on saturday night live - scary!
Since I left the JWs almost 20 years ago I have lost track of the number of Watch Tower rules that I have broken. In fact I am not sure which was the first one I broke after leaving. It was either registering to vote or attending another church service.
Sincerely,
Athanasius
.
why do we call it a "car group" when we are referring to one car ?.
*****rub a dub
That was hilarious TR. But so true.
a serious question, seriously asked, with serious intent: .
when you faced a judicial committee, did you suffer physically from the experience?
we have learned of sisters suffering greatly from the experience.
I am so sorry that you had to go through all of that Prisca. The so called Watch Tower judicial system is worse than the Cheka in the former Soviet Union. The Watch Tower is a religious dictatorship and only democratic reforms forced upon them from within and without will change the system.
