When I first left the JWs I thought about burning my Watch Tower library. Instead I sold it for $120.00 to a Ministerial Servant who was studying to be an Elder.

Religion after the WBTS
by Mysterious in.
just curious who went on to associated themselves with another religion after leaving the watchtower and whether you still follow the bible or not.
i haven't really decided what i believe but i'll consider almost anything not witness related.

My experience with the JWs didn't turn me against organized religion. So after leaving the Watch Tower I attended a number of churches and synagogues. Later I was received into the Anglican Church, which offers me what I consider the best of both worlds. Catholic tradition with Protestant intellectual freedom.

What did you day dream about at assemblies?
by lastcall inas a kid i would try to pay attention, but i just couldn't hang in there.
if i didn't day dream i was going to go insane.. i used to create scenarios in my mind that i was a jw super hero.
i had a special costume that was partially made of "flubber" that would allow me to bounce all over the auditorium.

What is the thing that keeps you going?
by Sassy inyerusalyim
started a thread about not feeling well and asked what others biggest complaints were right now.. so i got to thinking, what is the opposite?
what is the one thing that gives you a reason most to smile and get out of bed in the morning.

Has anyone read Awake Nov 8th 'When loved ones do not share your faith',
by barry inthis artical seems ok to me no mention of shunning, marking etc.
could it be the wt is feeling the heat and changing its policy in respect to shunning of family and friends?
is the awake just as authoritive as the wt and is this artical grounds for a change?

Did You Ever Feel Refreshed As A Jehovah's Witness???
by minimus inthe "truth" is supposed to be sooo "refreshing".
the publications talk about how "happy and refreshed" witnesses always are.
was that your experience?

He should have stayed with the Witnesses. The Watch Tower would have given him free legal advice.

Are the witnesses tight?
by stillajwexelder inare jehovah?s witnesses tight?
a presiding overseer stated that from the platform in the last 18 months.
there was a thread recently where one poster stated that at district conventions pioneers actually gave literature as a tip to the waitress at a place where they were dining -- no doubt counting their time also.

Some are. Others can be very generous.
