  Outsourcing of printing?

  i heard through the grapevine this weekend that my second cousin and her husband made a trip to india to investigate possible outsourcing of printed docs for the wtbts.

  he is a uber bethelite in the purchasing dept and my cousin is a good bethelite wife.

  they were living in brooklyn but have been moved up to wallkill in the last few months.

  so i thought that jws weren't supposed to celebrate "wordly holidays?

  " i saw on fb my uber elder cousin and his wife and daughter at a big new year's eve party with many other jw's ringing in the new year!

  how do they justify that?

  How can this situation be okay?

  my cousin is an uber witness and elder and has been for 35+ years.

  he has a daughter and son-in-law in bethel and a daugther and son in law that are pioneers and one daughter who is "on the fence" about the whole religion.

  his sister is an inactive jw for 35+ years and her husband is a deacon at the local episcopalian church.

  How long would this be allowed?

  i have a cousin that is born-in but never went for the jw's throughout her entire childhood and until this day, she's 30 now.

  her dad is an uber elder and her 2 sisters are very devoted as well.

  now she's talking about "going back" to the kh etc because she thinks now this is the place she belongs.. my question is: she's living with someone "in sin"; has a fb page; goes to rock/rap music concerts all the time etc.

  Non JW's and DF's JWS

  my uber witness cousin has 3 daughters, 2 that are very much jw's and one that isn't (she never went for it at all).

  how does it work that he can see his way clear to have an almost normal relationship with her even though she's living "in sin" with a man and has several times in the past and she also has dabbled in drugs along the way.

  i thought you weren't supposed to hang out with fornicators???

  Continuing story of relative's funeral

  a couple of weeks ago i posted about how my uber witness cousin told me i wouldn't be welcome at my aunt's family gathering after the memorial service at the kingdom hall.

  (i've been df'd for 35 year now).

  he did invite me to the kingdom hall for the service but it was clear i wasn't welcome at the family gathering afterwards since i asked him flat out.

  i was contacted earlier today by an old friend from my congregation in lynnwood, wa.

  i was just thrilled that she contacted me.

  i posted my name on an ex jw website about 2 years ago and kinda of forgot about it until today.
