they have zippo experience in anything except how to hide pimples.

in asking the question "how does god protect us?

I have one just as good! This was actually THE moment when I said this is all crap and pretty much walked away. I'm at the assemble... jeez this musta been 3 or 4 years ago now and the elder dickweed is up talking about how jehacka protects us and the organization and he said... they were building a convention center in russia and the roof wasn't on and there was a big storm coming and they didn't have time to finish the roof and the bros worked around the clock and the storm held off and held off and as soon as the roof was done it started snowing... **big sigh of appricaiation and slapping**
ok this is where it gets sureal (i swear i'm not making this up how could i its just to good) the very next experience is how quickly the brothers in the bahamas rebuilt the convention center there and about 14 kh's after a hurricane busted the shit out of them... hahahahahaha this crap is so good it's almost worth going to the assembly this weekend!!!
I'm actually pretty lucky family wise i'm going to the convention city with my wife (jw) my two daughters 2 and 7 months (not jw's and never will be) and my mother and father in law (jw's and elder) and grandmother (jw) i'll hang out at the hotel play golf in kissimee and take my oldest to sea world on saterday and they won't hassle me at all so i'm not complaining!

I'm still technically a Jw never got df'd or anything just inactive (actually i'm an athiest i just don't bother them) and i do go to meetings occasionaly to keep the wife happy (mostly just memorial) and i don't really do anything that would get me df'd if anyone knew about it.(although i am registerd to vote)
But the double standerd thing is RAMPANT you'll never get away from it i know of a case where a woman got away with having affairs for YEARS we all thought it was odd until we found out she was sleeping with two of the elders who were always on her judicial committee! hahahahahahaha talk about laugh out loud! I also know of a case where a pioneer was drugged and raped and the "brother" responsible was publicly reproved but not df'd and then... ready for the punch line... so was she because she shouldn't have been out with him alone and put herself in that situation!!! unreal.
My stand on adultury and fornication has changed a lot tho' as an athiest i really think that whatever is good with your mate and you is great if you want to swing do it if you want to be monogomous do that what the hell business is it of anyone elses!?

Malawi vs UN scandal and the #$&* hits the fan

a friend approached my spouse and confronted her on our kids going to a birthday party.
it turned into a long discussion and at one point the un scandal came up and my spouse compared it to the brothers in malawi who died rather than get a political card.

This has always pissed me off and this was one of the reasons i was "turned down" when i went over the questions for babtism the first time. These dudes were KILLED because they wouldn't buy a stupid card but back in the early 90's the state of new york was pondering a plan to make voting registration automatic when you got a drivers licence. The elders got up during a "local needs" part and said it would be ok to get this because it didn't require you to actually vote!!! what a bunch of crap so as long as your black and in a poor country you should die for your stupid beliefs but in this country we won't even take the bus for them... god i'm glad to be out of that organization!

Before I try to convince my wife and family of the truth of this I really need CURRENT proof that I can find without linking off this or any other "apostate" site. Please help!
The silent lambs is good stuff all 4 of the kids in my family (myself and my three bothers) were abused, and went through exactly what is discribed in most of these cases. I personaly know of at least 25 kids in my old hall who went through this. When I go back to my home town to visit I always drop by the hall and play "jw" just to see whats up and everyone always says "of all the kids this hall had back in the day you know that only you, your brother (he's an elder in jacksonville, fl) and 3 or 4 others are still in the truth?" and I always want to scream "yeah and you still have 2 fu##ing child molesters giving public talks!" When I try to mention this to my wife I just get the old well people are imperfect but wait on jehovah horse shizit. oh well... let me get off my tangent and back to the subject at hand!
I really don't want my two girls (6mnths and 2.5 yrs) going to the kh with their mom but I need her to understand how this organization really is so I can avoid a divorce. In order to do that I have to be logical and have to show her "unbiased" reporting (like the swill she gets from the wbts is unbiased right...) I'm slowly winning she's down to maybe one meeting a month and hasn't been in service in... maybe 6 months? But she still believes that this organization is the truth. We have huge fights about it she is so depressed because she feels she isn't doing what god wants she's in counsling and on prozac, but if i could just show her something not from "apostates" it would really help....

by jst2laws injust moments ago i was on the back deck looking at the stars and a renter next door came out to do the same.
i said hello and we talked about where we were from and where we are at, spiritually.
after a few clues the neighbor asked if i had accepted jesus as my personal savior.

I've become a complete atheist after 24 years as a JW and this belief really helped pave the way if the "wages" of sin is death you don't really need jesus sacrifice all you have to do is die and your sins are forgivin!
speaking of david though the whole bible is full of junk like this promises god made and didn't keep laws that only got enforced when the person in the wrong was weaker than the person doing the punishing.
I do think its funny that the wts (lower case to show no respect) keeps bringing him out most religions (remember i'm an athiest i think they are ALL wrong) seem to have learned to just talk about jesus and fluff don't go bringing up unpleasent things like... the rest of the bible!
oh well they've already started shaking in another 25 years they'll be a footnote
