  Well don't you think this quilifies as "swallowed by sadness" or whatever that scripture says about needing to show mercy????

  That was nice dan-o but I'm afraid I have to take this one!

  I have seen a lot of this country but not near enough! Heck I want to see the world!!! I always wanted to be an Airline Pilot... Sadly that didn't work out but one day I'm gonna travel more now I only get to take about one trip a month and it's always gotta be fairly local but one day baby I'm gonna pack up my old back pack and be GONE! I may go to england next summer! How exciting!! I told my wife we could just go to some shi**y town in West Virginia and stand in someone's sprinkler for a few days but she said no she wanted the real thing!!!!!!

  i feel at this time, in my long and varied career here at the forum, i must protest to the exalted and respected administator of this site, that a problem does exist in it's "labeling" of posters.

  this concerns the titles that are given to posters when they reach a certain amount of posts.

  Maybe if they added a line under the picture that said age, member since, number of post, number of topics jsut so you could see it at a glance not that it matters but ya know it's nice to be recognized!

  i just found out that , on my wife's side of the family, the last witness kid has given up!.

  he was the very last one in that half of our extended witness family.

  Buzk- 2 parents in 3 kids in! (well they are polish!)

  one could rightly expect, considering the urgency of the times, and the need 'to preach the good news of the kingdomtm' before the end arrives, that jws would be doing all they could to encourage 'like-heartedtm' ones along to their place of worship/study/meeting (or whatever they wish to call their kingdom hallstm).

  instead, from my observations, they are doing their best to make the halls as uninviting as possible.. the case in point.

  several days ago i drove past the front entrance to the fairly new kingdom hall in ballina where i spent my formative years in 'the truthtm'.

  Isn't that funny the difference between halls in tourist heavy areas and in "reguler" locals! I've never seen a hall that didn't have a sign out front or lettering on the building itself. Most here are just depresssing dark little caves! But they are marked! Up near Fernendina and out at the beaches the halls are VERY nice and it's not just the money of the people in the hall we live in a fairly rich little pocket but we get few if any "outsiders" so we don't have to impress money out of the tourist witness pocket I guess!

  this happened almost three years ago, but since i always enjoy reading about other people's jw encounters, i thought i'd finally share one of my own.. i lived in an apartment for four years following my disfellowshipping and no one had ever come to my door, not even so much as a shepherding visit.

  ) i had lurked on this board for a while, but was put off by the anger and negativity of some people and so i didn't stay long.

  Great story very enjoyable read! It's great to see I wasnt' the only one who said "I'll get back to ya on that" and then never even tried! I never even wrote down the addresses for return visits I always thought I was a bad JW now I know I was just one of the same lol!
