This really is a godless world

Let's all be eternally grateful for that. If we lived in a godly world, who knows what greater atrocities would be committed against humanity!! We live in a sufficiently godly world to know what happens when people have faith ('Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, of realities seen though not beheld' = basically 'believing something dogmatically because you think it's the case without an ounce of proof'). Belief is such a dangerous thing in this world. It pervades us so throughly that we are blind to is harmful influence.

Faith and belief are the arch-ememies of reason and spirituality, which are the correct way of looking at ourselves and our consciousness in order to understand others and treat them as we do ourselves. Buddha seemed to realise this, Jesus too seemed to understand it, he hated organised religion, but not many people listened to him and now we have a whole plethora of religions which bare his name all with their own history of hatred and greed. The scary thing is that, in the 21st century, if, as a species, we all don't realise the fundamental principles of empirical/natural morality, we'll exterminate ourselves with our technology.

The senseless one has said in his heart:"There is no God."

In fact, the reality is quite the opposite. What the world needs now is a fresh burst of introspection so that we can all progress as a species, together, instead of wondering what more violent and hateful books this imaginary "alpha-male in the sky" has to send our way.

Of course this is simply my opinion.

Umm...it didn't much look like your opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong but it looked more to me like quotations from the Bible.

i honestly cannot tell you why i've never discovered this show until recently.

i was up late one night and a pbs station was giving an episode, and i got hooked....it was about something with the daleks and these mophead aliens.

i was blown away at how good this show was.

think about this.. go way back...far far back in history.. go back before the internet.

go back farther.. go back before newspapers, tv and radio.. go waaaaay back before there was public education.. return to a time when there were no universities or libraries.. go even farther back in time and return to when it was thousands of years before any modern era.. people got their ideas from their families and neighbors period!.

Chapter 6 of Richard Dawkins' "The Blind Watchmaker" (called 'Origins and Miracles'), offers a brilliant, insightful surprisingly simple and non-counter-intuitive way in which organic molecules could have become self replicating.

His book "Unweaving the Rainbow" in chapter 12 ('The Balloon of the Mind'), explains how consciousness and a feeling of 'self' could have evolved from the interface that was created due to the intricate network of neurons in the brain.

"Climbing Mount Improbable" is another insightful book that shows how great complexity can come about not by 'chance' but by cumulative natural selection. In fact, he likens the "God Hypothesis" to pure chance. For example, what are the chances of a "god" just miraculously appearing in thin air, uncreated and existing eternally, then deciding to create a universe by speaking it into existence?... It's comparable to the chances of a Boeing 747 with all its complex engineering simply appearing in a junk yard at the click of a finger. Any type of god, even if he DID exist, would himself have to have come about by cumulative natural selection...

In fact, it is creation theory which is based on chance, and NOTevolution theory, as the sky-blue creation book claims.

people who speak non-tonal languages are more likely to have a more recently evolve form of the genes aspm and microcephalin.. this raises an interesting idea.. possibly no non-tonal languages were spoken at the time of the towers of babel.. how would a jw explain?.

Non organised ex JWs, why?

from time to time we hear that the ex jws should have organised themselves to a high level and that doesn't necessarily mean setting up another religion in opposition to the wts but some sort of rather secular organisation to carry out that task.

no doubt this lack of organisation plays in the hands of the wts who escape the nightmare of a highly organised efficient opposition.

the rough treatment of ex members in my opinion is intentional and aims at emotionally stunning them to pre empt the possibility of them having a clear mind with which to fight their fraudulent, cultic objectives.

The reason XJWs are not JWs anymore is mostly because we are independently minded, just like cats as NathanNatas said.
You cannot organise independently minded individuals. You can only organise gregarious people who like to be led and told what to do.

I'm confused about the e-jw forum

so i stumbled onto the e-jw forum and began scanning through posts.. from what i understand the forum members are believing jw's,...right?

i've read through many topics/posts and it seems like their is much questioning going on there.

in the matter of a few moments, i came across discussions on freemasonry connections, wtbts occult connections, ct's pyramidology, "company men", 1914, etc,..etc.

Obviously, no good dub would even mention the UN, Silentlambs or judging the WTS, its just too blasphemous.

Star Moore : When I read Revelation, Daniel, and Ezekiel, I can see all of the world unfolding in the prophesies.. I think we are in the Great Tribulation... so God, to me, cared enough to write it all down....aforetime. There is a reason why God is letting bad things come down.. Adam and Eve dont have their way, they supposedly died 6000 years ago. They're not benefitting at all from all this. The only people who are suffering are the the so-called descendants of these two people.

If your father commited a murder and i emprisonned for it, would you think thats fair? What if i tortured you and starved you to death would that be any more fair? What if it wasn't your father, but your great great great great great great grandfather who commited the murder? Would your punishment be any more fair?...

I Listen : Not everything wirtten in the bible is understood by those upon the earth. Jesus Christ was born to humans so that he can give testimony as to the True nature of his Father. The slave is not greater than the Master he spoke. This means Jesus cannot teach contrary to what the Father is in His person. There are examples of destruction that I have taken responsibility for, written in My inspired Word. They were not necessarily brought about by My Own Hand but by those unrighteous. I take responsibilty for all of My creation good and evil. I AM Righteous and True in Justice and Wisdom. I will prove to be to all of My creation shortly.
