  Hi there Confused. Well I was not brought up a JW, but still things like Armageddon scared the crap outta me.

  Doubt and confusion is something we probably all had. Just look at you questions, and go and find answers for the, There is no problem, or fault with that. I can even give you a biblical quoting for it - Acts 17:11

  Search for the answers, and once you have found them, make up your mind about what to do with it. This is a wonderful site to ask questions, and there are many more on the web.

  pedophile paradise.... too bad bill could not substanciate this accusation.... yes we do have pedophile in our ranks.... but bill 23,000 where the hell did you get that figure....(i want proof damnit).

  yes we do have problems within the organisation.... yes, some elders have been on a power trip for a long time.... yes, there have been many doctrinal changes..... why would witnesses on certain countries allowed to vote why people in the us cannot even harbor.

  the thought of voting.... i hope bill bowen does not get disfellowship...cause if he is he will no longer able to drum up supports among true diehard, dedicated witnesses to the cause.. most people up in here are deleberately bashing the organisation.... why?

  HB, You claim you still support the organization. I assume then that you believe Jehovah is ruling that organization. If the almighty is working there, why would changes need to be made? Why doesnt God just speak to the anointed ones and tell them to stop screwing up? Is it possible that they either do not hear Him, or do they not listen. Or of course, maybe Jehovah isnt governing the Governing body.

  Secondly. The organization sold dreams that have proven to be false. They had NO RIGHT of doing so.

  I have no hatred towards individual JW. My mum and grandma both are JW. But don't tell me I can't be angry at the organization that tells my mum and my friends not to talk with me, because my views are slightly different!

  Welcome aboard, (but you do realise that as a good JW, you are not supposed to have contact with apostates like myself, do you? )

  If you won the lottery?

  i was just sitting here at work fantasizing what i would do if i won the lottery.

  first i would pay off all my bills, .

  then i would donate to some very worthy causes...(i'm sure you can guess a couple of them).

  Would jump in the air up and down for an hour, screaming "I won, I won".

  Then, I would call my friends and get an all-night-long bash started, with loads of alcohol.

  Then, I would have a huge hangover the next morning, complete with a trashed house.

  Then I would decide on getting an aspirin, turn back into bed to get the aspirin to work. And hoping empty bottles, empty glasses etc. would go away by itself.

  Then I would wake up with a shock, pinching myself to find out if it really happened.

  After giving myself some bruises I would sit quiet for a few hours and decide on: 1 - Complete college, without worrying of being able to pay for it. 2 - Visit friends who are all over the world.

  a very good friend of mine ,who was an elder at the time, accurately came up with an expression when somebody acted in a certain way.

  let's say a person was a real goody 2 shoes, always supporting the organization, and probably either lierally or figuratively, screwing his brother or sister, he would be labeled a "real witness fu**.

  " toward the end of his eldership , he was pretty much calling everybody "a witness fu**.

  When I was just becoming a witness, I was overactive and terribly worried about my mum, who wasn't so vigorously becoming a dub. But I grew up, and stopped being one after 1/2 a year, became critical during my second year as a dub, became the worry of elders after that, and finally got the boot.... Now I am the true apostate

  my witness brother came to visit me today out of the blue.

  i hadn't seen him in awhile.

  we talked and then he mentioned something about elders in his congregation wanting to call on me.

  Hey Mommy1,

  Yeah I understand. We love our family and it is sad to see them being hurt, because they believe in Dub-doctrine. Somehow they just don't see the freedom and happiness we have when we're out. And when they do see it, they don't understand.

  My mum is still a Dub, but (thank god) she still talks to me. However, she cannot believe it when I say that I have never been happier in my life, since I left. In her opinion, that is impossible, since there is no Jehovah-GB in my life anymore. If there was only a way to make them see....

  Charity for a dub means helping out other dubs (yes, they do that individually) and helping free and independent spirits becoming dubs.

  i don't know if this is true where you live, but where i used to live, it was against "policy" for brothers to have beards.

  any man who did have one was looked down upon.
